Keep the batteries and charger indoors. Only take the battery you're actively using outside when it's time to run the snowblower. Bring it back inside when done, whether it needs charged or not. Key to good runtime and good charging performance.

Use mine about every other day lately. It is very easy to maneuver and relatively small. Used to be for 1"-4" I just broke out the shove rather than deal with the Ariens 33", but now I just run the EGO most of the time. Above about 6", I switch over the Ariens particularly to deal with the plowed stuff at the road.
Tell us where you live - roughly - so we can actively avoid that place on the globe.

The deal breaker on this is no heated handles. The next model up the "XP" has them.

This thing is phenomenal but I haven't had the chance to use it in the last 2 years. There's not enough snow to bring this out and I'm in Minnesota.

Which lower model do you have and do you love it?
Snowblower Comparison: Greenworks 80v single stage vs. EGO SNT2100 vs. EGO SNT2110

I've tested three battery-powered snowblowers over the years, and here's my experience with each:

Greenworks (Single-Stage): Works fine for very light snow, but struggles with anything heavier. It got me through a mild Chicago winter but wouldn't be my first choice for anything beyond that.

EGO SNT2100: A step up from the Greenworks, but still has trouble with heavier, wet snow. Performance was decent, but it lacked the power needed for more challenging conditions.

EGO SNT2110: The best of the three—handles wet and heavy snow better than the others, but still struggles under tough conditions.

Common Issues Across All Three:
Snow Spraying Forward: None of them control the discharge as well as a gas-powered model.
Ground Clearance: Unlike my old 2-stage gas snowblower, these single-stage models don't scrape the ground clean. Their lighter weight means they tend to float unless you apply downward pressure on the handle.

Final Thoughts:
Storage space is limited in our garage, so the ability to fold up and place any of these models on a shelf is a necessity—especially since I only need a snowblower a few times a year. Another big advantage is the convenience of battery power—no gas, oil changes, or maintenance beyond charging the battery and going. That said, if you regularly deal with heavy, wet snow, none of these fully replace a solid 2-stage gas or high-powered battery snowblower. However, for light-to-moderate snowfall and hassle-free operation, the EGO SNT2110 is the best option of the three.

I got this a few years ago. I have 100' of sidewalk and 60' of driveway. Works great moving snow. I did have an issue with the chute controller where the cables froze and when i tried to move the handle back and forth, some plastic bits broke inside.(My fault, I got pissed off and tried to force the cables to break free) Fortunately I was able to purchase an entire chute control assembly for about $100 from powerplusparts.com. Overall I relly like this snow blower.

I've got 4 5 amp batteries that power my single stage. Can I get by with those batteries on this one or do I really need the bigger 7.5 amp.

The difference will be run time. You'll have to switch out sooner with a 5Ah but your total run time is greater

Have you ever used a blower with heated handles? Mine has them. Never felt it through my gloves. Useless feature.

If you're complaining about heated handles, you must be a tough customer at the store

The one concern with this unit (as an owner) is the gearbox lacks a shearpin. The motor has a single stage gearbox which powers the second stage auger (and then into the first). If a rock gets stuck in the first stage, it will blow up the gearbox (shear teeth off the steel gears). It took me 4 hours to replace my gearbox.

Looking at the controls this looks like the original 1st gen version. I got 2nd gen where the controls are all on one stick. newest gen in store the joystick controls a motor to control chute.
