I think I need something like this because the wheels on my otherwise fine suitcase are destroyed, but what do we do with it after we wheel the suitcase to the ticket counter?

I think you either put it in the suitcase or use as carry-on item if you have that.

I would consider new wheels though.

I purchased this to check-in a large plastic tote via Delta on an upcoming flight, and be able to transport it. My plan is to put it inside my carry-on. If you look at the dimensions, it is very small. The length and width are less than a piece of ledger paper so should fit even in a backpack. I agree with the other person that you can just put it inside of your checked luggage
