Doesn't sound like a good deal at all, M1 Max with 32Gb of RAM can be found for same or lower price, also M3 Pro and M4 base can be found at similar prices, check the expired Costco deals that can still be price-matched at BestBuy. I just bought a M3 Pro yesterday for $1083

They're panicking -- they need to unload massive amounts of old stock before the M4 Airs are released. The base model M4 Mini pretty much beats the entire M1 lineup, most of the M2s, and some of the M3s.

This is a four-year-old machine that's going to have its lunch money stolen by a transfer student.

The pros to this machine? 512gb storage is higher than the base Air storage. 16" screen + speakers + mic are actually pretty superior. But if you use headphones, all that superior audio is null and void.
