About this show:- Earl Hickey is an unrepentant ne'er-do-well with a long list of things he's done wrong in life. All that changes when he wins a small lottery and, in a swift twist of fate, learns the meaning of "karma": Do good things and good things happen.

Seasons 1,2, and 4 are phenomenal, while season 3 was written by scab writers during the writers strike.
Season 3 was such garbage that they threw these 3 doozies at us:
Earl got married and had a kid
Earl went to prison
It was all just a dream
Seasons 1, 2, and 4 rank among the best feel-good sitcom Seasons for any show. The show could've gone on for 10 Seasons if the strike didn't ruin it.

It's hard to believe this show started 20 years ago. Still feels pretty fresh, since most of the tech and stuff was already dated (purposely) in 2005. Though I dunno that it could have gone on for 10 seasons, the unresolved cliffhanger at the end because of cancellation sucks. A few more seasons would have given it a better ending (though you can read about what the creator had in mind and Raising Hope had that Easter egg at the start of the series).
Edit: never mind, I just checked…it was 24, 23, 24 and 27 episodes 👍🏽
