This is a good show. It is not easy to get time travel right but they nailed it.

Five minutes in I thought this was a dumb remake of the movie. It took things so much above and beyond the movie. Highly recommended.

One of those shows where you have to suffer through a slump to get to the end, if I remember correctly.

Oh wow I think I knew they made a TV series based on the film but completely forgot about it and never watched. Have to remedy that ASAP.

I don't know if this is even still relevant but this used to have an available Phillips Hue light track sync to go along with it. That and Sharknado lol it was a Syfy chan thing I think. The Sharknado stuck in my mind as I was surprised at how excellent the effect was

What do you mean in relation to the Phillips Hue? I have a Hue Sync Box. Are there effects on the series that would put my lights to good use?

One of the few Syfy (or sci-fi shows in general) that didn't take a hard and useless turn to the complete absurd and / or lazy writing the last 1-2 seasons, somehow stayed on plot and tone until the end.

A man from the post-apocalyptic future, Cole uses a dangerous, untested method of time travel to get from 2043 to the present day. He is on a mission to locate and rid the world of the source of the plague that will eventually annihilate the human race. Assisting him is Dr. Cassandra Railly, a virologist who must decide whether to do harm in order to save the world -- regardless of the fact that she has taken the Hippocratic oath. The sci-fi series is based on Terry Gilliam's 1995 film, which starred Bruce Willis as Cole.

You definitely should give it a go. Great sci-fi and all the lead actors are well cast with the standout being Emily Hampshire(Stevie from Schitt's Creek) who is just next level for the role. One of my favorite Bruce Willis movies ever and the series did not disappoint.

Then go watch Counterpart with JK Simmons if you haven't seen that yet.

Sadly it wasn't. It was originally developed as an original series called Splinter. That later had the 12 monkeys IP tacked on. It's still a great show and handles time travel really well.

Absolutely second the Counterpart recommendation. Fantastic show with Cold War vibes, with double the JK Simmons.
