I was going to say this was their older one based on the number of reviews, but it's not - it's the new one, which is apparently pretty good. The new M12 ones are also apparently nice and smooth/effective, too.
Home depot is just doing that sketchy thing again where they add a tool to an existing battery listing, which makes it look like the tool itself has tons of reviews.
How does this compare in performance to the dewalt corded random orbital sander?
Heavy, clumsy. Works well as far as removing material, it's fine on a flat surface. On walls and ceilings though I hate it . I'd rather use air or corded electric.
I just realized I don't own any cordless sanders (other than oscillating attachments and a Ryobi mouse sander). I'm trying to think of a reason to buy this since I'm on the m18 ecosystem as well, but I've always done my sanding with my 5" & 6" Bosch corded sanders as proper dust collection is an absolute must.
