I got this after the battery in my Wyze crapped out. It is better. Better navigation. Has a sensor so it follows walls instead of constantly nudging them as it goes. Cleans rooms about 10% faster than the Wyze. Bigger dust bin. Much bigger battery. The suction motor is quieter on the lower settings. The brushroll does make some chattering noise on hard floors, but I imagine all silicone brushroll vacs probably do that. And unlike the Wyze, the brushroll runs all the time on rugs/carpet instead of stopping and starting constantly. I haven't used the mop.
I got it for $133 with coupon code RRSAP2025013021025822AZR on the Roborock website
Upgraded from the s6, it runs quieter and fills the bin way more with corgi hair

Does the Roborock Q5 Pro Robot Vacuum do it as well?
Yes and yes.

Let's be real: I bought this thing because my vacuuming skills rival a sloth on melatonin. But the Roborock Q5 Pro didn't just clean my floors—it stole my purpose in life. Here's why I now refer to it as "Roomba's overachieving cousin who drinks triple espressos":
1. Suction Power: This bot inhales crumbs like a TikToker devours drama. "3000Pa suction" translates to *"Goodbye, Cheerio fossils under the couch. Hello, existential crisis—why am I not this efficient?" It even tried to suck up my cat's tail once. The cat's now filing a complaint.
2. Mopping Skills: The mopping feature is sneakily judgmental. It glides around leaving floors so shiny, I half-expect it to side-eye my coffee stains and whisper, "Pathetic." My floors haven't been this clean since my mom visited in 2017.
3. Laser Navigation: The LiDAR mapping is so precise, I'm convinced it's plotting world domination. It dodges LEGO landmines like a ninja and memorizes my apartment layout better than I do. "Hey Roborock, where's my keys?" [Silent judgment in binary.]
4. App Control: The app lets me schedule cleanings, create no-go zones, and watch its little robot avatar zoom around like it's in a Pixar movie. I've named it "Dustinho" and low-key check its "cleaning report" more than my emails. "A+ for effort, Dustinho. My boss could never."
5. Battery Life: This thing outlasts my motivation. It cleans my entire 1,500 sq. ft. apartment and still has juice to mock my iPhone's 3% battery anxiety.
6. Self-Emptying Dock: The auto-empty base is basically a robot screaming, "I don't need you, human!" It sucks the dust into its belly like a polite demon, and I just… sit there. This is the future.

In for one. My 3rd-4th (?) Neato just went tits up. A D8 Connected. I have also had Roombas. My experience is that regardless the brand they last about 18-24 months with daily use. I like the lidar type that works in an organized manner.
So far, so good after a week of use. It has made it home every night after completing a full house clean. The Neato would get lost or stuck at least once or twice a week and have to be retrieved and returned to its base in the morning. I like that you can watch the Roborock's progress real-time on the app and always know where it is. The amount it has collected has gone down every day, but that is to be expected. The volume it collected looks smaller than the Neato, but it is much tighter packed in the dust bin. Most of what is collected is pet hair so perhaps it just has more pressure and compacts it more. As noted here the filter must be removed to empty the dust bin, but that was required for the Neato as well.

My experience has been the same. It works so much better than my prior robots, especially the navigation around objects, reaching more areas, and not getting stuck -- it's a lot more intelligent. This cheap vacuum is swinging well above its price.

p.s. Dont forget you can adjust the suction on a per room or full clean basis.

Looks like price is back up to $249 list price at amazon now.

Is it possible to still get this price? Roborock's website shows a 139.99 price, but when I click it's 159.99 and then the coupon code takes off like $7 to 152.

EDIT: Shoot. that sale was 2-3 to 2-9

Yes. Create a cleaning routine by adding each room you want to clean and not use the Full Cleaning. At the room level you can edit how each room will be cleaned (i.e. number of cycles, and suction power).
Would be nice if you can create a schedule with routines.

Issue I have with the scheduling is I want certain rooms done with max plus and some with balanced. There is no way that I can find to do this on a schedule.

You set suction for each room by going to the map , select room, customize, and select each room to set the suction power . Then in schedule you select the map to run.

Don't know if this is an AI post trying to be clever or something but:

- this thing would 100% eat a Lego, the LiDAR is 4" off the ground
- If your coffee stains can be handled by a cold wet rag going over them one time, you must have Teflon floors or something
- I do not know what kind of couches you have but this wouldn't fit under any couch I've seen

If you're going to post a cutesy AI comment at least fact check it first, tyvm.
