Any item considered hazardous or dangerous cannot be returned

For batteries, I think the limit is 100Wh because anything under that qualifies for class 9 hazard exception

I picked up the similar unit C1000x from Best Buy for the same price on the last sale a couple of weeks ago. I preferred it since it was all black, vs the gray look. I also ended up picking up a C300x (also in black) to go along with it. I think it's a good combination of power for the devices during a power outage (c1000x) and something smaller (c300x) to carry around for trips etc.
Regarding the expansion pack vs buying another unit, I have done lots of research. It pretty much says the same thing; always get another unit so that you are not dependent on carrying both items around and have flexibility. I tend to agree with this as well.

I bought directly from their website just under a month ago. The shipping takes a lot longer, like a week for me. But their support responds fairly quickly. I used it today to get a refund for the difference from the sale price from when I bought it and they processed replied and processed it quickly. Also, if you buy it from their website you can return it, unlike from Amazon.
That's great they gave you to reduced price. Sounds like there is no difference in quality. I just assumed Amazon over their shoulder might make them less posutred. Wasn't aware Amazon wouldn't allow a return, but being a hazzardous battery it makes sense. The only downside to buying direct from Anker is they seem to be the only that doesn't seel it in black, which I want. Oh well. Thanks for your reply.

That's not true, it's more costly and involved to return hazmat items, but they are still shippable/returnable if the seller is willing to offer it. I have returned a bluetti power station, and am currently shipping back larger lithium batteries for replacement, the paperwork and shipping arrangements are definitely more involved but in both cases the seller handled everything for me and I was able to ship back.
The seller determines if these batteries are returnable, as you said.
Amazon doesn't want to mess with the headaches.
Usually, they have to be dropped off at a brick and mortar facility (like a FedEx dock), and as you said, there's paperwork involved.
Some manufacturers will arrange to have a delivery service pick up the batteries but that's after some effort on the purchasers part.

why is this a slick deal (let alone FP deal)?
Jackery 1000 was $349 back in Nov, it's better brand with solid track record. so with power station prices going down every few months and a lesser known brand, this would be a slick deal only at $325 or lower.
i see several Anker products on the front page. something is odd with SD.
I got a smaller Ugreen battery and it's mostly useless without the app.
I refused to download the app because it wants permission to access entirely too much stuff, like contacts, photos, emails, texts, etc.

Does the Jackery app want all the above access as well? If not, I'll hold out for the Jackery.

For $30 more ($459) you can get the Bluetti AC180 with a smidgen more power from a pretty reputable brand.

It can also operate as a UPS with a 20mS switchover time.

I'm holding out for another Prime Day type sale myself since I've been happy with my little Honda EU2000i gas generator. The lithium ones just seem a lot more convenient as you don't need to store and use them outside. They would be a lot quicker to hookup and could be charged by the Honda.

I read somewhere that they are looking into banning dji because of their PRC ties.
I'm starting to think that all these chinese batteries are going to banned because of all the unnecessary data they collect and send back to the CCP.

Also, the Dji battery has prioritized ports compared to other companies. Data is not the only concern. I was born in China and moved here back in 07—the whole brainwashing of their people, the whole lies, Etc. Back to the battery, there are only a few companies manufacturing batteries on US soil. You can't have cheap and quality stuff here, not yet.

IMO this class power station EcoFlow Delta 2 is superior in price and app. Anker's app has really basic functionality.

Perfect combo is a ICE genny and battery with solar.

Even in sunny Southern California a week of overcast skies really kills your solar production

This C1000 also has 20ms UPS
I managed to find a sale for the Ecoflow Delta 3 Plus for only $100 more and it has some notable upgrades.

Quieter
More solar input
Hybrid Charging
10ms UPS Mode
Etc

If you search for it here you should find the same thread I found for the sale/discount, I also found the combo w/ the extra battery was a great deal under $1000 for the Delta 3 Plus and the extra 1024WH battery.

I'm irrationally repulsed by USB-A ports. I can't buy any power devices with them anymore.
