So you can use it with your impact driver. Most people who have use for a tool like this will have an impact driver. Why not make a convenient and useful screwdriver and socket kit like this more versatile?

Plus there is little downside. If you forget your case of bits, could save you a trip. (for many, 20% of a project involves walking back and forth looking for stuff.)

I like Klein products. However, is there a reason that you would need impact rated parts for a screwdriver like this if you are just using it by hand (as opposed to bits that would go into an impact driver)? Forgive my naiveté, but it seems overkill for a small screwdriver.

I mean, yeah technically it's more "versatile", but whenever I'm needing to use both a screwdriver and impact driver, I'll just grab bits for both so I have dedicated bits in both tools at all times, that way they're both ready to go when I need them. I'm not grabbing those 2 tools and consciously limiting myself and making my job more tedious by using only one bit between them just so I can get some use out of a feature… and I like Klein too btw. I just don't think that "feature" is really all that useful.

It's not about usefulness it's about marketing. One of the ways you convince people (men) to buy tools they don't need is to explain how over engineered it is.

Been looking at this for a while. Wish it was the metric version but I bought it anyways.

Really just want something compact to throw in my [not exactly reliable] project car for when some intercooler pipe pops off or something easy to fix.

Doesn't having a nonproprietary way of connecting impact bits to your screwdriver actually reduce the number of tools you need? Most modular screwdrivers have their own bits that can't be used in an impact driver. Sure there is an overlap between the two, but that's the entire point.

I suppose. But if you already have an impact driver, there is a good chance you already have a set for the impact driver, right? Or, for a similar(ish) price, why not get a more complete socket set?
Anyway, not trying to TD. Just feels pretty niche. Hope this deal can help someone who specifically needs this.

I have this, it works, but using it as a screwdriver is a little annoying.

Less stuff to bring on the job if one tool does it.

I have this, I like it, but I'm on my 2nd one because one of the drivers chewed into the shank when using on an impact (Klein sent a replacement). Granted I was probably overdoing it a bit, but I've used 3rd party shanks ever since without issue.

The handle is more of a way to store the set so they don't get lost and makes for easier to locate and grab out of a bag. Only advantage to these compared to those quick-release keyring ones is the screwdriver functionality.

Anyone know how this compares to the new 16-in1? I think the 16-in-1 has a slimmer handle

I agree, this seems like a silly combo that didn't need to happen. Maybe there are a few guys that want to carry around a screwdriver that ALSO includes a little impact driver set, but.....only a few. I keep seeing Klein advertise the hell out of these things by sending them to Youtube influencers.
