Comfort-wise, for my big head, I rate Sony XM4 > Sonos Ace > Sony XM5.

oh wow, im totally opposite on sony,
Sony XM5 > Sonos Ace > Sony XM4
I would say I really like the sonos ace. I use it at home bc I have mostly all sonos products. While their app was garbage before it is somewhat good now. Switching your entertainment to headphones with ease is such a great feature. Really would recommend it if you have a sonos system at home only but its really good headphones in general. I use my XM5 at work

Is your head big?
I find Sonos Ace stretched to almost max size on me. XM5's headband presses down too hard and hurts after 10min.
Sonos Ace benefits from streaming from Sonos soundbar (which I don't have). Ace unfortunately does not do WiFi streaming on its own.

I used XM5 and XM4 for work (Floor refinishing with loud sanding). XM4 has better sound cancellation than XM5.

I just picked up a pair of open box "Excellent". They were $265, but I was able to negotiate them down a bit since they had been on the shelves for about a month. They looked new / cables still packaged and unused. Of course, they were defective (corded audio not working), but Sonos is replacing them under warranty.
