I bought. I thought movies were entertaining - and the concept was unique. For ~$3 a movie and 4K I'm in.

That's why you should watch the movies before reading the books. That way you're more likely to enjoy both versions of the story.

Yes but also that 3rd book sucked. Once they got to the city details were fuzzy and it was all too rushed.
