Maybe that's your freebie for your birthday? I didn't see the free 3 doughnuts in my app. I know they did downsize from a dozen to 3 doughnuts for the brirthday freebie.

Odd thing is they are always throwing away tons of doughnuts in the trash.

There was one time during the pandemic where they were giving out doughnuts and I went through the drive thru. The first three count they handed me, it missed my hand and fell on the road between my car and the building. They gave me a second one and while they were getting the second one, I opened my door and picked up the first box. It was closed and sealed. Ended up getting 6 free glazed doughnuts.

FYI Krispy Kreme tip for yall find the store in your area that actually makes the donuts. A lot of the stores just have warmers and a central store makes the donuts. Typically its a newer location

That would explain why the store in my area never has the "designer doughnuts" (specialty doughnuts) as I call them. Whenever there is a promotion, it is always, "We do not have those made yet, but we have glazed!" I always keep a low expectation with the location in my area. I always make sure that I have a backup doughnut that I want. Regarding promotions, they really try NOT to do them either. This app feature definitely makes it a better experience because the manager probably just sees what needs to be given to the customer instead of what deal is used on the app; rather than, a customer inquiring about a promotion and they "yayiing" or "naying" it.

Edit: I redeemed this offer this morning and it was the best three doughnuts I have ever had because they were completely free (even though not off the conveyor because they were cold). I had taken them down with some dark hot chocolate that I made. Mmm.
