If you're going to be paying this much for an SSD I would suggest you get a Pcie 5. You'll be able to share a lane with your graphics card on the new boards and double your SSD speed

Also, be sure you're running these off your CPU Lane for best performance. This precisely is why you want 5.0 pcie as it will not bottleneck the solid state when split with a GPU, as a 4.0 will.
