I've flown them a few times and they are a solid budget carrier. Biggest downside is a rough on time rate of around 72%.

Their aircraft is clean and modern, with each seat equipped with a TV screen offering free media. The flight crew was friendly, and its operated with an Airbus A350-900, covering a distance of approximately 5,665 miles in about 11.5 hours.

Great pet policy as well. Only $195 per direction

What is a 'personal item' and how much does it cost to take a carryon and to check a bag?

French bee is the worst airline I've ever flown on. Even amongst low cost carriers in many countries, FB is the worst. Air Caraibes is a regional arm of FB and their service is actually a bit worse (if that can be possible).

Read the many reviews. It's much worse than Spirit Airline or Frontier. Seats are cramped, uncomfortable, and that's if they didn't screw up your ticket or delay your flight.

My horrible experience with FB:
I paid to pick seat and extra luggage for 3 people.
Then paid over $1.5k extra to upgrade because it was a long flight home.
At the gate, we found that they changed plane and canceled all upgrades without notice. Then they randomly dumped our party into separate seats all the way at the back of the plane (lost money we paid to pick seats), but that's not the worst part.
They did not refund the upgrade money! I had to fight for them over 3+ months and numerous calls + emails. Only after I disputed charge with my cc processor and provided all details did I finally get it back.
My relatives made the mistake of flying FB before I got to share my story. Theirs was quite bad as well, in other ways.

Fly low cost via Norwegian, Ryanair, EasyJet, literally anyone else.
FB is the only airline that makes you feel like you're cramped into a crowded 3rd world bus while suffering it for 11+ hours. At least the revamped Orly airport is nice.

Pay a few hundred bucks more and fly Air France.

Pulled up the information for you. Personal item is as listed on their website. Along with the fees associated with a carry-on and baggage fees.

Personal item (4kg/9lb 40x30x20cm)
