I got this a year or so ago and I love it. Cold brew coffee at home is the way to go! Great price too!

Good call-out! My sister in law lives with us and she works at Starbucks, so she gets me free coffee. Typically, I have her grind it for espresso, but I'll make sure she changes to a more coarse grind for this!
Glad to be able to help and enjoy all the caffeine! 😁

Got this last time and I like it as well, but idk if mesh is safe from microplastic :/
I wonder if you can replace the filter can be replaced with a stainless steel version or something? I was able to replace the mesh filter in my regular drip coffee machine.

I've used two of these for about 6 years.
I used to think I needed 24 hrs to make a pot but even 6-8 hrs works fine.
Adjusting proper amount of coffee depends on brand and personal taste. I only fill the filter up half-way or less. Coarse grounds work best for water dissemination. I use Torrani sugar free flavored syrups for taste.
When I wake I have a brewed-all-night pot to go. Then I have a second pot for the afternoon/evening. I always have one pot ready to go and one being used to brew for later. I would advsie anyone to get two of these - especially at this price. I haven't made hot coffee in years and don't miss it at all. I don't hot brew tea anymore either.

Seems like it's well rated on Amazon.

Should probably plan to stir a few times while brewing to get the most out of this with all the grounds concentrated in the middle. I'm using a French press currently, but it's a pain to clean. Hopefully this is as easy to clean as it looks.

Looking at this, my only concern is with extraction. When i first started cold brewing, i used one of those mesh cones in a jar... and that is essentially what this is. I have since switched to the OXO one, and it makes significantly better cold brew.
Which OXO one?

To be fair, I got it for free... which makes what i am about to say even crazier.

Not only is Oxo cold brew maker great at what it does, the company backs the product up. I have gotten 3 free replacements from them, twice the metal screen, and once essentially the entire thing, including a new carafe. I didn't even buy it to begin with. Love Oxo
Gah, I wish I had contacted them before trashing mine. I can't remember what broke (the plastic lever I think?) but didn't even think about asking them! Booo me.
