I remember playing the original in 1997 in my university computer lab on crt monitors. It was glorious. Never seen anything like it. So smooth. So much fun. Amazing a 30 year old game holds up so well. Absolutely worth $2, even if you weren't around back then to enjoy it.

Quake 2 on Switch isn't awful. The pro controller uses optional accelerometer aiming which is pretty fun but no match for mouse aiming.

Echo that. That's the game made my legs shake when standing on narrow cliff looking down at lava pond.

Lol found out what happened when I did that just as my mom was walking by. Suffice it to say she was not pleased I was playing a game like that, but I was 13 at the time

a lot of the boomer shooters run great on Switch imo...

the gyro aim lets you just aim with sticks then tilt to perfect headshots and stuff, its close to PC as you can get imo
