30w pd max on one port is pretty low for a 112w brick. More for lots of small devices, not all in one with your laptop (that usually wants 60-65w).
Cursory glances at max specs don't tell the whole story.

30W is low, but sufficient for a slim laptop.

The difference with this adapter is that the 112W total can supply all the ports simultaneously, at full power.

With a lot of them, using one port to charge a high power device forces them to steal capacity from the other ports, and reduce their output. A single port spec, and a high total spec in the sales pitch can sound impressive in isolation, but often hides that compromise.

And worse, when an additional device is plugged in, the controller may have to briefly go offline and reboot itself when it reallocates the power distribution, which can cause some devices to act strangely when their charging cycle is interrupted. The USB spec doesn't address the behavior of multi-port adapters like this, so there is no guideline as to how distribution is handled, or executed.

The high power adapters that can, like this one, supply full power to all ports at the same time are bulkier, and usually in the higher cost segments. As well as having undergone testing certification, and carrying legitimate safety marks, which this one does as well.

This adapter does not have a captive power cord, and I've found this style is better suited to travel, where wall outlets may not always be accessible, or have sufficient clearance to mount one of the monster multi-port adapters.

With something like this, a single cord, which can be also substituted for a longer version, runs to a more convenient location, and also relieves the need to carry multiple long cables to reach from the device to a wall adapter.

This one is aimed at charging a variety of smaller devices simultaneously, not a hungry laptop. If the latter is the need, it is certainly better to choose one better suited for that task.

Understanding how things function allow one to better select the right tool for the right job.
Why would you get this one when you can get similar powerstrips at this price - which can actually do 65W or higher on one port.

There is another Anker deal at $35.99 with 100W PD and 6 ports.
There are also several other deals in a similar price range, which can do multiple devices "and" a PD 65W (or higher) laptop.

The use case for this strip would just be to charge phones and other accessories.

Yeah, I thought it was funny they showed it charging a laptop in one of the pics on Amazon ... if it manages to charge at all, it's not going to be able to charge faster than you use the power, so it'll still drain as you're using it - just slower, but, it might be able to trickle charge a laptop in sleep mode overnight.
I'm considering this still though ... I've got a spot at our front door where I keep battery packs and currently have a bunch of different chargers managing each of them and it'd be nice to consolidate into a few less chargers and I'd actually prefer if those power banks don't fast charge, so, this might be just the thing.

Does it come with the AC power cord or is that considered a cable or is it permanently attached?

its a charger, not a power supply. it'll still charge a laptop, just slowly.

I actually think this is reasonably priced for what you get. If you want on to leave on your desktop to charge multiple 30w below devices. This will do.

For someone wanting to get something that will also do PD up to 65v and properly handle multiple devices and is portable.
I would recommend investing in this. Which is $10 off at the moment.

My only gripe on this format is in coffee shops and airports the socks are often too lose to hold in place.
Why I get something like this and end up zip tying to the brick for on the go uses

It comes with the AC power cord. The cord can be detached.
Basically, what you see in the first product picture is what you get:
"What You Get: Anker Charger (112W, 6 Ports), cable organizer, welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service."

I agree. I think this is a good deal. I have three 5- or 6-port USB-A chargers on nightstands in my house (our bedroom, guest bedroom, etc.). This would do well to replace them. When its time to go to bed and to charge all my stuff, I've got my two phones (work, personal), watch, earbuds, and maybe the kids' iPads or a battery pack. They don't need to charge quickly - they need to charge overnight while I am sleeping, so they are 100% charged when I wake up.

I just got the white one for my wife's nightstand to replace her older Anker 6 port charger only had one USB-C port. Many new products such as the Apple Watch 10 only come with USB-C chargers I know some people will say there are cheaper multi port chargers on Amazon, Temu, etc that have higher wattage but I'm not going to risk a fire or ruining my electronics using a multi port charger from some unknown brand just to save $5 or $10.

I bought it to take on cruises (we cruise a lot). Cruise lines keep banning various power strips/multi-plug adapaters. An adapter like this one is one of the few things still allowed. I also like that it has a power cable rather than plugging it in directly into outlet, makes it easier to use if the outlet is a bit loose. Basically decent adapter to charge many things overnight and to take on cruises. I do have Anker 747 (4 of them), but I found that they work the best if I plug them in into a power strip that's laying horizontally instead of directly into wall outlets, and since I can't take a power strip anymore... This adapter should work well.

Why not? I charge my phone, airpods, and other devices on my desk that don't require a lot of power. You're looking for something for a laptop and that's going to cost more. Many people use a wall charger for their laptop, but have tons of other things that are small devices that they want to charge. This is perfect for someone like me. I have one already that doesn't have USB C and this is great
