Just a heads-up—the 83" version of this TV is WOLED, not QD-OLED.

Look I have all samsung TV's, I bought a 77" s90d in november. This week, superbowl week it died. It seems to be a bad power supply which if you google review is an insanely common issue. Dealing with samsung repair service is terrible. I cannot recommend this TV to anyone because of it reliability. Buyer beware and I'm out a living room TV for superbowl sunday.

Oh man this is tempting…. Is this the best price we've seen on an 83" Samsung S90D? I've been waiting for a great deal on an 83" TV and have been considering QD-OLED for better peak brightness in the living room…. Is this deal worthy? I better act fast before it's gone….. hmmm….

Yeah I bought this modelbafter reading amazing reviews of the 77" panel, then realized the difference with the 83" and canceled before they shipped.

Still waiting on a good C4 or up 83" deal since if I'm going similar panel tech, I might as well go Samsung.

With that being said, love my Samsung QLED.

Oh wow - a quick glance at the Amazon reviews and a Google search and nothing but complaints about failed TVs, failed power supplies, and long wait times on back ordered parts…. Between that and hearing from the other guy the panel is WOLED (not as concerning) - hard pass on this one….

The wait for a good 83" deal continues….

In some ways yes, in some ways no. Rtings is a pretty good resource to see a summarized comparison. Which is better just depends on your preferences and what content you consume most.

Costs this much and no Dolby Vision, for Samsung the ~$3 Dolby fee is too much.
Plus samsung TVs are plagued with quality issues.

Stick with LG or Sony.

Dolby Vision isn't that special anyways, especially compared with the base HDR10 layer when watching on Samsung OLED TVs.
