Never heard of heat storm. Their site claims their headquarters are in Jacksonville FL but no google or maps results show this location. Their site also includes a Phoenix AZ address that does not seem to be valid. The only address that's close is a residential address.

It's most likely a shell company slinging cheap Chinese heaters at online retailers. I would stick to a well known brand, especially with potential fire hazards.

I'm also not a fan of an app only remote. Eventually they will stop supporting the app and a new update will not let you use it. There are controls on the front but something to be aware of.

Here's the same heater on AliExpress for a few dollars more:
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...22167.html

I would not connect this to Wifi or download the app if you value your privacy and if you're house burns down you'll probably have a hard time tracking down who to sue.

Did you set up a script to automatically respond with the exact same text every time? At the very least I think after you replied the first time you would have heard of the company having researched that it was in fact from China🤷 (person commented exactly the same thing on the previous deal for roughly the same price) for people who are actually curious about this device just go look over at the previous FP listing as there's many comments that don't need to be copy and pasted to each and every new posting of the same basic deal https://slickdeals.net/f/18081874-heat-storm-1-500-watt-electric-infrared-wi-fi-wall-mounted-heater-81-free-shipping

Last time this was posted seemed like a lot of controversy. But I've had this for I think 2 years now. I don't use the app and I don't leave it plugged in for peace of mind. I'm sure it's fine, but I dont need those features in the app, so it doesn't have to stay plugged in. That eliminates any concern of that some people have. In terms of performance - I use it in a 2 car garage for cold days for a garage gym. I'll turn it on 30-45 minutes ahead of time and it takes the cold bite away. Hot? No. But definitely worthwhile for some extra warmth. On really cold days (like 20*), I use this + a Dyson heater for a half hour and it's a good temp to work out even below freezing. It was critical to have a wall mount option for me and this fit the needs perfectly.

This post is similar but different. No scripts. I just want to inform people of Heat Storm's confusing and seemingly untruthful site. I don't think too many people look at all of the previous post's comments on a product before taking advantage of a deal. This same heater has been posted 7 times in the last 2 years for a combined total of 545 comments.

Thank you for posting the last deal on this from two weeks ago that's still active. There was speculation that many of the comments were bots because of their posting times and reputations.

I have a feeling most people will want to read facts about an item not comments bashing other slickdealers.

Not bashing the commenter bashing your comment as repetitive and not actually possible because the whole claiming that despite investigating the company in the previous front page deal you somehow still "haven't heard of the company" (which to use the word that seems to be popping up a lot is a bit sus 🤷) basically the way things work here is someone post something (deals or comments on the quality of the deals) other people can argue with data (or just saying sus, etc) it's what gives those of us spending money a reasonable idea on the quality of the item and by saying you've never heard of this when you obviously have it tends to color the rest of your opinions on an item you haven't used (by a maker you might have heard of 🤷)

Anyways happy slick dealing and hopefully you've now officially heard of this company that you've commented on a few times and has products sold by multiple us resellers including best buy, amazon, and home depot ( this item specifically is also at HD as well with what looks like just under 800 ratings resulting in a 4.3 star avg https://www.homedepot.com/p/Heat-.../307582646 at ~$81 for those who prefer home depot's warranty return coverage of 90 days to 365 days depending on how you purchase the item.)

have good one 👍
