Because it's the year of the snake and Uranus is in retrograde, providing amd chips more horsepower and torque over intel chips. Let me know if you need further info. I've built a few pc's back when I was younger so I'm an expert.

Because AMD doesn't require you to replace your MB every other year, just 'cause you wanna replace your CPU.

The first four bundles are each $50 less than they were just two weeks ago. I know many don't have Micro Center's near them sadly though.

I'm in need of upgrading my aging, LGA 1150 i5-4690k desktop since Windows 10 is going to be retiring soon; what would be the best value/match for the following that I think are still usable:
Case: Fractal Design Focus G
PSU: Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro
GPU: Zotec RTX 2060 12GB twin fan
Storage: 2x SATA SSDs (which prob "slow" relative to a lot of modern m.2 but fast enough for me)

I don't do much PC gaming but do like to have something capable for some of the major releases (still fire up games dating back as far as Half-Life to Witcher 3 from time to time).

Or would I be better off waiting...? I don't plan to re-built until summer so not sure if it's better I wait (don't know if summer prices would be better vs worse than winter prices).

You will see a real boost from any of these bundles. I'd suggest one of the 9900X bundles as probably hitting the best "sweet spot" among the options, but don't think there is a "bad" choice among them for your use case.

Why this is a good value when I can buy Intel Core i7-14700k bundle for less at Micocenter?

9700x only $30 more than 7700x combo? Any reason to still get the 7700x??

(probably not, if only for energy savings from the newer 9700x.)

Went for 9900X for $549:

Ryzen 9 9900X Granite Ridge AM5 4.40GHz 12-Core Boxed Processor - Heatsink Not Included
1 of (SKU) 721209 @ $247.22
TOTAL: $247.22

VENGEANCE RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit CMH32GX5M2M6000Z36 - Black
1 of (SKU) 781021 @ $92.99
TOTAL: $92.99

X870E MAG TOMAHAWK WIFI AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard
1 of (SKU) 802967 @ $219.78
TOTAL: $219.78

Jumped on this.

My use case is a balance of productivity vs gaming, so this is better $ value proposition.

Looking to pair this with either the 7900 XTX or the new 9070 series when it's released.

There are ways of getting around the Windows 11 TPM requirement on old non-TPM hardware.

What do people think of the 9700x bundle? I think that is the CPU I want to go with just not sure of the motherboard. Lots of open box boards of that model at my store. Makes me think people have had problems with it. The Aorus board only cost $20 more but in the bundle they are charging $50 more to upgrade to it. Is it worth it?
