Believe or not, this is one of Consumer Report's top rated knife sets... ranking #4, and scoring 85. The top set only scored and 87, and the top 3 other sets were all $300 or more. So, this set at $50, esp with a lifetime warranty, seems like a really good deal. If you didn't want it for yourself, I think it makes a good gift for somebody else.
