Wasn't there recent news about cybersecurity vulnerabilities in TP-Link routers and discussions about them potentially being banned due to their use in botnets or something similar?
Beware if you have an older deco unit with parental controls if you upgrade to this unit or any other newer setup they only give you basic limited controls. They want you to now pay for the "advanced features" you had in your older deco's that were free.
I posted this when I was at the warehouse by copying text from image. I would still blame it on AI though.

Excellent value, highly recommend. Have 3 systems (my house - 2 units with wifi backhaul, and two sons' houses) One son has 3 units (~30 devices online), with wifi 6E disabled to improved stability(?), wired backhaul, 4100 sq ft house. Another son has 2 units with wired backhaul and wifi 6E, 1400 sq ft townhouse. Rock solid, no issues.

Does this work with fiber internet? From fiber connecting into this router? Asking because my fiber internet provider also provides their own WiFi router which I extended the range by splitting into a switch and using older no longer uses router as a WiFi range extender.

Anyone can compare these to Google nest? My Google nest mesh kinda sucks, not getting any good signal through walls.

Fiber doesn't connect to this directly. It should connect to your ONT box via Ethernet though, and will probably work. AT&T fiber might be different though, not sure (ask Google)... but Frontier and Cox fiber should work for sure.

Had it now for nearly two years. Firmware was garbage for a few months and had a lot of drops. Biggest issue is that I don't get to have any reports of what actually is consuming bandwidth on an individual level

I have the Deco X60. Recently it refused to let one of my googletv's connect to the normal wifi it had to go on the guest one. I started adding more Wyze cams, im at about 12 and 1/3 of them now randomly stop working. But for wifi 6 tri band, who wouldn't just buy the linksys refurbs from woot for a fraction of the price....

I know Costco is Marxist, but still.
Bipartisan Intel community and both houses of congress about to ban CCP TP-Link technology b/c specifically linked to massive months long undetected Volt Typhoon 🌀 hack on all cellular networks, water 💦 supply systems in preparation for WWIII, Taiwan 🇹🇼 orders to PLA (300k+ PLA soldiers entered illegally since BRICS mtg early October 2023 in Moscow, before Oct. 7, and…) already issued, apparently the 100 year anniversary of PLA. About to get real, real y'all.
