I have one that is several generations old, I believe it's the G. Great TV for the price. Had an initial issue disconnecting from my old LG sound bar through Arc, but it has been resolved in one of the updates it got a few years back.

The U7 and TCL Qm7 battle it out as the best midrange TV's.

Don't buy Hisense. Their smart TV has an issue on memory space issue. Google "insufficient memory space issue". My TV is now dead. Can't delete the app.

Have the U65 from Costco and it ROCKS. Only gripe is the sound quality but I wanted to get a sound bar anyway. However my gf has a lower tier cheaper model and it seems to have memory/RAM issues. Some apps like paramount won't load ads on it and freeze.

Ya, and when you're further away you might need to make the text a bit larger. I know a couple people who do this and push the TV all the way back on their desk so it's basically against the wall. This seems to be a pretty good distance for a 55" from what I've tried. The other benefit of that is it keeps coworkers and the unemployed people in your home from putting their greasy fingers on your screen.
