I used to move peacoats would always buy ones on sales on winter clearances like from gap, american eagle, old navy, etc. Seems it's decline in popularity as mens winter coat option.

You're right - MSRP means nothing.. Example, Costco had a really great looking 70% wool 20 % cashmere 10% synthetic Kirkland branded peacoat with better materials and a more functional layout than this for under $100 MSRP and cleared out at under $70.
