The only thing to know is, before you set it up, read up on set-up tips to maintain ad-free status when you're setting it up without turning on something or another for kids. I can't recall what you do, will have to look it up myself. That should be easy to find, but it seems like there was something you have to do when setting it up so it doesn't bypass ad-free when you're forgoing some kids' setting. Mind you, the ads are only ever on the lockscreen anyway, so it's not a big deal if you don't do this. And you still get a 2-yr worry-free warranty and a free case out of it.
Added: From a quick search, Amazon may have thwarted the attempts to keep it ad-free for adults in this new model, but it's unclear if there was still a workaround. I'll do a deeper dive into that before turning this on the first time just in case.

Fyi, the reason I'd sell my old one rather than trade it is I've still got a 20% off code good til the end of the month from a trade-in I shipped in advance of BF hoping for a deal (didn't find one I wanted -- which is fine, I'm lousy with Amazon devices I can trade in). Even if I didn't already have a discount code, it would still make sense for me to trade in one of my other old devices I no longer used that are valued at $5 to get that 20%, and then sell the 11th gen paperwhite on eBay. Amazon gives only $30 for the trade-in, and I know my excellent condition device with cover could fetch more on eBay.
But also, how did you get $55 off with a 20% discount on an item that came down to $70 after another $30 off for trade in? What was the starting price? You'd need a start price of $275 for 20% off to equal a $55 discount. Then add another $30 for your trade in to get $85 off total, and that would be an end price of $190.
I like my slightly larger paperwhite vs my kids regular kindles.
My daughter likes the portability of the regular kindle but I'm not sure if she likes it any better or worse than the paperwhite.
I have 3 kids, every year i would trade in the oldest, to get ~$30 +20% (another $24) and saving $50 on not buying another year of Kindle kids sub
so it seemed worth it to spend a few more (~$30) to get a newer device... but its only lasting 6mo now....
