Note - Woot is completely sold out of all editions and Stacksocial has raised their prices. Deal is dead.

Woot still has some legacy digital licenses available. Not as good of a price as in the past but this is probably the best anyone is going to do, once these are gone, you're stuck with the higher prices that include Copilot.

These may even include copilot, since existing subscriptions got it free, one would think extending your subscription might keep it, but not positive on that. Doesn't matter if you don't care about copilot

QA Note: All of the Woot items are out of stock/OOS. Normally I would expire the deal but since the OP did add the Stacksocial alternative, I will just note all the expired Woot items as OOS and leave it live in Hot Deals for the users that do want the Stacksocial options. As of right now, the Personal 15 months $44.97 and the Family 1 year $75.97 are still close to the Woot prices as the OP said.

Stock up now (limit 3 of each per customer) while you still can
-1 Year Personal - $39.99 - https://computers.woot.com/offers...ription-12 - NOW OOS
Available via Stacksocial for about the same price - https://www.stacksocial.com/sales...bscription
-15 Month Personal (better deal) - $45.99 - https://computers.woot.com/offers...cription-5 OOS

Note either of the two above should convert to 9 months of Family (so get the 1 year if you plan to do that).

-1 Year Family - $76.99 - https://computers.woot.com/offers...n-14?gQT=2 - NOTE the better deal here is to get the 1 year personal and convert it to 9 months family which works out to about $53 per year. OOS
-15 Month Family is sold out

Free shipping for all (codes are sent as tracking numbers via email). 3 or 5% cash back if using your amazon card. Couple more percent available via CB sites. Use a non-tax state as shipping address to avoid sales tax (nothing actually ships).

Stacksocial also has them, but after their "processing" fee it comes up about the same price or a tad higher, and honestly the sellers on that site are not always reputable. But if the above sell out, may be worth trying. 1 year personal is still in stock here so if you want to extend your family plan by 9 months, this is the cheapest option now.

Not sure why every MS Office deal has to get thes OT posts. I'm pretty sure most everyone here knows about the free options, but are interested in genuine Office for various reasons.
Because Microsoft has been found to be an abusive monopoly with the product that bore its original name.

I think most are aware of this. But part of wrongdoing is expecting the public to raise awareness of it, and alternatives to it... regularly. As they probably should.

Yes. Your email will stop working if you exceed the free storage threshold, and Microsoft/Google will hold your account hostage until you delete a bunch of stuff or pay for their subscription with the 1TB storage or however much.
I'm not sure of the point though, all of the major emails sevvices have storage limits and limit your account when you exceed it. Some have higher limits, but many have limits much less than MS or Google. Do you think that a commercial business should give you unlimited space for free?

You could simple auto-archive your mail locally if you are exceeding the 15G limit of the free account. Although from manager point of view, if you email storage is that large, you are using email wrong; it is not meant to be a file storage system.

For savvy Slickdealers, I suspect that this deal has limited utility. Does it really suite most of us to rent software?

I'm in the market for spreadsheet software. I typically use Google Sheets, but I'm trying to work with a sheet that has 8000 rows with one image in each of those rows. Google Sheets doesn't show the images at all. I loaded up my copy of LibreOffice. It shows the images through Row 4000, then stops rendering the images. I loaded up my copy of Microsoft Office 2000. It loads all the rows with all the images and all operations on these rows are extremely fast; however, it doesn't support the functions that I need (UNIQUE and SORT).

There's no way I'm going to rent a more up-to-date version of Microsoft Office. I looked into getting a permanent license. Microsoft Office 2024 Home cost $150, but I checked eBay and Microsoft Office 2021 is going for $50. That seems like the obvious choice.

What do you guys think?

Are these product codes I can redeem directly in Microsoft or are they subscriptions in Amazon linked to my Microsoft account? The reviews indicate it's an Amazon managed subscription and not a key I can redeem.

I'll bite and test out the 15 month one and report back. I can confirm that there's no states tax no matter what address... I'm in California and they're notorious for really stingy on that, but I wasn't taxed.

Anyone know how long it for woot to process the digital order? I've been sitting on my order for half an hour and haven't done anything.

I did order Nord VPN through woot maybe two months back and if I recall it took a few days.

If you only want office, that's a no brainer IMO

A 2021 word doc can't be that different from a 2024 word doc to justify the 3x price, can it?

So the 15 month Personal would extend an existing Family subscription by 10 months?
No. The 15 month is some bonus deal these resellers sell. You get 9 months Family regardless if you buy 15 or 12.

There is still a plan called "Microsoft 365 Family Classic" which does not have AI

My plan is current through Feb 2027 so I am patient. This deal is not slick and in fact about $10 more than usual deals, I will wait. I do not believe the crap that we wont see the $29.99 deals again.

Yeah, if you dont care about Onedrive or other than just do standalone. Not sure if Outlook is better if you get 365 too. Im not sure if it still comes with standalone Office

Anyone know exactly how long it takes to get the code? It says it will take a few business days to email the code but my subscription expires in a few days.
Maybe give or take an hour for me. The code was in my account before I got the second email from Woot

Nvidia currently fits that description with it's AI monopoly and intentional engineering choices to exclude other companies.
