Great price. This was a big step up from my 24" 1080 60hz. Just got it last week at $200.

previous reviews said not full HDMI 2.1 48Gbps bandwidth. Might only be 18Gbps

Is this typical IPS black levels, or above average?

This is their lowest price for this item upon checking Keepa. Good consideration if you want a decent 27" 1440p IPS gaming monitor.

The biggest difference looking at the specs is that the Alienware is brighter, 600 nits vs 450 nits. Indoors it may not matter a lot but I'd probably pick the Alienware out of the two.

Just upgraded to the Alienware AW2724DM during the Prime Day sale, and holy smokes – this monitor's a game-changer! I've been grinding through Apex Legends on my old 1080p/60Hz screen for years, but the jump to 1440p at 165Hz feels like getting prescription glasses for the first time. Colors pop way harder than I expected from an IPS panel, and FreeSync Premium Pro actually makes my RX 6800 feel worth its weight.
Didn't realize how much I'd appreciate the subtle stuff until now – zero ghosting during fast rotations, HDR that doesn't look like a radioactive Instagram filter, and that sweet spot where productivity apps stay crisp without tanking my GPU. Snagged it at $150 off, which almost justifies telling my wife our cat "accidentally" ordered it. Almost.

This goes 180Hz (or 170Hz), for those that care. I have 3, just replaced one due to goofy display issues.

Advanced replacement is pretty nice. I paid $350 ea when they launched in 2023. No regrets.
