Tho if I had the money the highest/second highest end ones had the best speaker system I heard. An to me that matters ; as that is the main thing smart devices have stalled on since the LG v60. which no one has surpassed but the 2 higher teir 8 an 9 Samsung tabs.
The biggest ones are kinda absurd in size tho. So I would vouch for a standard non fe vs the best 9

And the S10 tabs use mediatek, complicating the decision
seemed underpowered, even for normal daily usage... figured i'd let it run a few update cycles, see if it got better, but nope... just wasn't great.
size for me was on the large side to be a useful portable device, at 10.9'', why wouldn't i just grab my laptop for infinitely more utility?
well, if i can use it for legacy console emulation, maybe it'll be worth keeping... nope, the processor sucks for emulation, also back to the size, it's rather obnoxious for that.
sold it after a few months for 250$.
did a little digging into best, smaller form factor emulation devices to get more utility out of a rather useless Android device like a tablet... came across the 2023 Lenovo Y700 Legion (the 2025 is marginally better, but no SD slot, so not worth it to me), grabbed one of AliExpress as us stupid 'Muricans don't like 8.8'' tablets for some reason. man this thing is worlds better than the S9 FE, both in just general OS/normal usage and emulation if that's your thing. pair it with an extendable controller, it's a pretty great little device.
point of my rambling... this S9 FE kinda sucks for the price and what it is.
Nope. You're right. Amazing. Totally missed that.
Debated flipping it, but at the price we got in on, it's a great deal. It'll also work nicely for a future trade in deal.

Besides that I also know how to side load apps...usually apps that have been cracked so you don't have to pay for them... while you can do this on a apple, it is much harder to do and to get the cracked software (may not even be possible).
NOW lets talk about which machine it better. Apple is WAY WAY WAY more powerful, because apple is the only company that makes ipads, it seems much more efficient and things tend to work all the time. The ipad is the better tablet, that is, the ipad is a better tablet then any android tablet.... coming from someone that hates apple.
Personally I am anti apple. But it is a personal thing....
An NEVER buy a non Samsung android tab. Somehow no one has ever competed with them. Saved you days of research. Or you can spend days to confirm this.
Did not spend any time to confirm the false fact not to buy any non-Samsung Tab. OnePlus Pad 2 is pretty good for $150 more than this, and the Pixel Tablet was good when it had the iPad trade in at $120. Though yes the S9 FE deal from Dec was very good.
