The low for the DLC is 17.49.
I'd try to make sure you can live without that before pulling the plug on this. I'm a sucker for most things Akira or Fist of The North Star though so I grabbed the base game at least.
The only negatives I have to say about FB3 so far is that the main trainers voice sounds ai generated. The other trainers sound much more natural though and can be selected after the tutorial. Also, almost every hit will be perfect measuring you do the motions, but I will gladly take that over doing the motions and not having a hit register like in FB2/FotNS.
Obviously, FB3 is much more expensive, but there is a demo that lets you do a good amount to get your feet wet. Again, the other trainers sound better than what you'll get in the demo.
I'm mentioning all of this because it is a good series and can provide some real benefits.
