I went to the store to take a couple in-person measurements and check out this Bosch 800 series in person. When I asked the rep how much it was on sale for because the sticker didn't match website, he rang it up and said it was on sale even more than the sticker. He checked multiple times. It came up $1007, $162 cheaper than online. The online price isn't accurate until you log in and it gives you 10% off. But the $162 savings is even taking that into consideration.
I have no idea if this is true everywhere or my local place because the local place didn't even have the correct price on top of the dishwasher.

[brand name] HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE
... you will find that every manufacturer (Maytag, Kitchenaid, GE, Frigidaire,... and even Miele) has bad customer service.
Seems like you're better off buying from somewhere like Costco, where the seller will do more to stand behind the product if the manufacturer service is crap.

Unfortunately Costco doesn't currently sell this dishwasher

However, in-store it rang up at $1,007.10.
Bosch also will rebate the Lowes installation cost: https://askboschlowes.c
Thank you for posting this, OP! Been stalking an 800 series Bosch for a while.
@miamicuse - The Lowe's rep said it required the junction box if you have them install it. Not sure if it's needed if you DIY.

Their adjuster will then sit on your submission for exactly 2 weeks, then will find a discrepancy in the number of the docs you submitted. The rep will not bother notifying you of any discrepancy, so it's entirely up to you go periodcially check for their messages on the tracking site. Then the adjuster will request some other odd missing document. And then he will sit on it another 2 weeks after your submission. And on and on it goes.
I am currently on a third 2-week iteration. They have a phone number you can call, but the rep you got on the phone will have no idea on your case and will recommend to follow the Adjuster prompts on the case tracking exactly.

Everyone makes garbage these days but the hope with buying Bosch is that you're rolling the dice a higher chance of long term reliability.
As a side note to address the product, just a heads up the 800 uses some crystal drying tech where the 500 series offers the auto-door pop at the end of cycle. I know people feel in various ways about either feature, but shop accordingly. A grand for the 800 with installation rebate seems like a pretty good deal.
