Bought from them in mid dec. Gave me a used code, refused to help. Told me to contact sony, as if sony would give me a new code from a site that has "third party" sellers who are just using stolen ccs. Had to file a chargeback.
This is why it is not worth the $5 (to me) versus just getting a $100 for $89.99 at Sam's or Costco.
I've been buying from them since 2020 and I've never had this issue.

Is PayPal or Credit card via Google Pay easier for disputing?
Does PayPal have any policies that complicate dispute for eGiftCards?

My assumption is that Google Pay to anonymize the card number and allow for dispute with credit card issuer is better, to not risk your PayPal account. If PayPal won't support your dispute, they don't like charge backs from the issuer.

How are people avoiding the service charge? Are you directly charging it to your credit card instead of using paypal?

Thanks OP! Purchased without issue and received the code almost immediately. Was able to add to my PlayStation Wallet a few seconds later.

Technically you don't avoid the service charge, the code just covers that cost while taking off a bit of the price of the card itself.
