How are these better than Espoma's Garden tone which is high in NPK and almost the same price.

The one from costco contains Mycorrhizal Fungi that has a relation with plant/tree roots and beneficial for plants. Yes we can get them from a forest or old trees nearby but the work to develop them is a bit more.

When I just need NPK, I buy general purpose lawn fertilizer for lot low price with NPK between 10 and 18.

I do not work for Costco or the product supply chain.

I guess it's cheap for a lot of material, but 2% npk means you'll need a lot

My costco(Long Island) has Espoma for $18 and Dr.earth for $20. Both have various fungi for root development and Espoma has higher npk ratio, however, espoma stinks badly and dr.earth is processed and doesn't have poop odor.
