this is a great deal, but I find that these types of air fryers can be difficult to clean at times. The ones with pull out baskets are easier to clean and handle more of a variety of food.

Not sure why someone voted down your comment. I have both styles and agree with you 100%, especially when it comes to cleaning.

I find the drop in basket type also cooks more evenly.
The only advantage that I see with this type is there is a window you can use to view your food cooking.

Exactly. I also have both styles and the oven style can be difficult with the hinges and what not. Some newer styles of the pull out baskets have windows now. Thinking about upgrading to one though haha.

Anyone know a cheap one of these that does not have the weird plastic coatings and things on the inside? It's funny they go to the trouble of making the outside stainless steel but the inside is always some black thing that chips and we will probably find out in 20 years is really bad for us.

I had this Bella fryer and really liked it. It can hold a lot of food. The downside (like many air fryers) is when cooking with two racks, the food on the top rack is done before the lower one. I could make a lot of chicken fingers but would need to rotate the racks halfway to cook them evenly.

I ended up giving it to a friend who needs the higher capacity, and I bought a basket style Gourmia 8 qt from Costco when on sale for $40 (it's currently on sale again).

The Gourmia has the same issue as the Bella when cooking on two layers, but it's not as pronounced.

Overall I think the Bella is a better product. It's easier to swap out racks mid cook and it's not difficult to clean. I suggest covering the drip tray with aluminum foil, it makes it even easier. I find the Gourmia basket is more of a pain to clean all the pieces but YMMV.

I'm considering buying this Bella again but it's probably too large for me.

The oven style air fryers work better in my opinion. You can get better, all sides cooking, with mesh trays or silicon with holes, etc. I respectfully disagree with the other commenters.

I was gonna say also the ability to cook in multiple layers…until I remembered the few times I actually tried that, it didn't even cook evenly so had to leave the lower tray in longer anyway.

Is there any setting in this air fryer that bakes items without the air fry? When making certain items, I sometimes prefer not have air that makes food dry. I really hope there is a way.

I guess you're in the situation that you can't just stick it in the oven then?

I suppose you could just cover it in tin foil

I could be off here, but I thought the point of the fan is to evenly cook. I know the top still cooks faster but theoretically an oven with a fan would cook more evenly than one without?
