Disagree about the value proposition. These serve a specific purpose, namely when you want music but also NEED to hear what's going on around you. Noise canceling ear buds do the opposite. When I ski, I exclusively use Shokz and wouldn't even THINK of using anything else, because I can't afford to miss someone shouting if I'm about to get hit or buried. If my Shokz have a dead battery, I'm going out without music.

Can these connect to two phones at once? I don't mean play audio from two sources at once, I mean just maintain connection and play which ever one is currently outputting audio?

These are so expensive, and the bluetooth protocol portion seems to lag behind features that other cheap $20 headphone have had at the same time. The one I had from a few years ago only connected to one device at a time (no simultaneous connections).

I have the OG OpenRun Pro's and they have the proprietary charging cable that got chewed up by the puppy. I went to eBay and got some USB (C) adapters to the proprietary charger head and it was way cheaper than buying a new cable from the company.

That being said, these use a USB C connection with a cover.

I just hope that they fixed the music glitching/hopping problem that I have with my Note 20 Ultra and other Samsung phones (I've read). It's quite annoying but the convenience of bone conduction means I'm still using them anyway.

You should try reaching out to their customer service. Ive heard numerous stories of them shipping new units free of charge and the consensus seems to be that they value their customers' patronage so much that they will bend over backwards to help you.

Are you sure you had a Shokz product? For many years their products have had multipoint pairing capabilities.

It sounds like you are describing an inferior product. Perhaps you had an off-brand model? Ive had nothing but stellar performance from mine.

They support multipoint pairing but it's off by default. You need to turn it on. Not sure why it's off. It's the first thing I change when I get a new pair

Indeed. They replaced mine at least four times.

Which model did you get replaced and what did you ask them?

I have several Shokz products. They're all at least bone conducting. You can put ear plugs in for complete noise isolation, as well.

Incidentally, the Pros are not worth the money, IMO. They have a lower IP rating. I can wear my regular Openruns anywhere (except swimming), but when I accidentally wear the Pros in the shower, they sound like they're going to pop, so I have to rush to shut them off and leave them for a few days to dry out.

Add to that that the sound quality isn't significantly better (the Pros sound a bit muddier…even BEFORE they were worn in the shower, LOL) and mic tests with friends have proven the mic is actually a bit worse in most cases than regular Openruns…so it's not nearly worth the price gap,

If you're looking for exercise Shokz, I recommend the Openruns. If you're looking for better call quality, I recommend OpenComms.
This. I had the both the pro 2 and Openrun. I returned the pro 2 and bought another pair of openrun. For my use, I want rugged and waterproof. If I want to listen to quality music, I'll pick up another pair of headset.

I had initially the Titanium, the first model they release. Those were dying or breaking about every other month. All replaced within warranty. I kept the open move only a short time. Almost immediately upgraded to the openrun mini (or aftershokz as they used to be called). Those were replaced four times. Different problem each time: not charging, random disconnect, peeling earbuds, completely dead. Now I have two pairs so I have one when the other breaks.

I have the original Aftershokz. About 6 months ago they automatically changed from giving information in English to Mandarin. So frustrating... I have no idea how nor if it can be changed back.
Support sorted me out with my Air's a few years ago. Let me know if it works. Y sending me a pair of these pro 2s haha. 🤞🤙

**Please restart the device you are trying to pair the headphones with and then follow these steps:**

1) Start with your headphones powered off and **unpaired/forgotten from your device.**

2) Enter pairing mode by holding down the volume(+) button for 5-7 seconds. Headphones will turn on ("Welcome to...") but continue holding the button until headphones say "Pairing" and the LED light starts flashing blue and red.

3) Once flashing, hold down the multifunction button, volume+ button and volume- button simultaneously (all 3 buttons simultaneously) for a few seconds. **You will hear two beeps and/or feel two vibrations.**

4) Once that happens, turn the headphones off, and then your headphones will be successfully reset.

can someone tell me if this compare to costco shokz on sale? thank you

That's what I'm gonna go with. Like the poster above, JakeBrule said, they've got the waterproofness going for them and I also agree on them being the best model up to that point although I haven't tried the pro 2. I don't like to have the extra wire to worry about but I may buy one of those adapters to see how it goes. I left my openruns in a hotel room and went back to my openmoves with a broken button and I can't wait to upgrade again.

Also, the minis fit my regular size head way better and it's worth it for that as well for me.

What do you turn on multipoint? Do you need their app to turn on that feature? Or do you hold the buttons in some kind of pattern?

I have a pair of Open Run Pro 1s

I really like them, but they're not durable. I have had to get warranty replacements twice in two years

The customer service team is awesome though

I would buy another pair despite the fragile nature

My wife and I are still rocking our Titaniums from Indiegogo from a decade ago. I use mine almost every day at work listening to music, podcasts, etc in the office. Heck, I prob still have my OG Bluez from Kickstarter in a drawer or tote. When I was still running and going to the gym, the Titanium was awesome and then I got a pair of the Optishokz on Indiegogo that made a big difference for running but were obviously a niche product so they aren't used much anymore unlike the Titanium. I haven't felt the need to upgrade this whole time and honestly hadn't looked at any new products since the Optishokz and didn't even know they changed their name. I'm sure it's blissful ignorance at this point since mine are still working well but can anyone speak to the music quality difference from the Titanium to the current generation of Shokz? $130 is a lot to pay for headphones and not get a huge jump in audio quality. The difference from the Bluez to the Titanium was awesome so I'm curious if that trend continues here.

I went from the Aeropex/OpenRun to the OpenRun Pros, the audio quality improvement was there but not super drastic. However, the OpenRun Pro 2 was a major improvement to sound quality and music.

You won't notice the difference in podcasts or audio books, but for music the bass is far cleaner and the sound overall is down right impressive. That said, it isn't going to be as good as an overhead headphone. That said, I find myself grabbing these more often than the AirPod Pro 2 since they're more comfortable to wear and the audio quality is now good enough that I have no complaints.
