Disagree about the value proposition. These serve a specific purpose, namely when you want music but also NEED to hear what's going on around you. Noise canceling ear buds do the opposite. When I ski, I exclusively use Shokz and wouldn't even THINK of using anything else, because I can't afford to miss someone shouting if I'm about to get hit or buried. If my Shokz have a dead battery, I'm going out without music.

I went from the Aeropex/OpenRun to the OpenRun Pros, the audio quality improvement was there but not super drastic. However, the OpenRun Pro 2 was a major improvement to sound quality and music.

You won't notice the difference in podcasts or audio books, but for music the bass is far cleaner and the sound overall is down right impressive. That said, it isn't going to be as good as an overhead headphone. That said, I find myself grabbing these more often than the AirPod Pro 2 since they're more comfortable to wear and the audio quality is now good enough that I have no complaints.
Good info, thanks. I prob won't go for them this time but good to know whenever I do go to upgrade, it'll be worth it.

This. I had the both the pro 2 and Openrun. I returned the pro 2 and bought another pair of openrun. For my use, I want rugged and waterproof. If I want to listen to quality music, I'll pick up another pair of headset.
I did the exact same last December with black Friday deals. The pro 2 are louder, but they're also heavier and they don't seem as durable or able to tolerate getting wet.

These pro 2s are superior to pro in the area of vibration, but they're noticeably softer, and when I used it when running on my treadmill, especially at speeds around 6.5, they're not loud enough.

Interesting. I had to stop running a few years ago but I used to run all the time for years before then. Treadmill, road, trail. I wore my Titaniums for all of it and never had a problem with volume. Even now I can still crank them up loud enough for others to at least hear that I'm listening to music. Do the Pro 2's not get that loud?

If you're a distance runner targeting anything faster than like a 9-minute mile pace, Shokz are so much more ideal than earbuds, it's not even close. I've never been able to get a distance workout in wearing earbuds without them constantly falling out of place.
Preach this comment. The amount of sweat build up and ear pain from sweat getting into your ears or if using a iem adapter, they are too heavy and detach itself onto the floor. I've been hit less crossing roads. The amount of situational awareness saves my tendency to jump onto cars and kicking their window and punch their mirrors. Which I've done before on my runs lol.

The older model After shokz was way better than this. This model has pairing issues with MS Teams. If you are not using it for work too, then you might be fine.

If you ever walked away from Shokz Open Pro because of the sound quality, then it's time to try them again. These sound pretty damn amazing and still have the open ear design. I used them on mountain bike ride and they are perfect. To top it off- this is a great deal.

My wife and I are still rocking our Titaniums from Indiegogo from a decade ago. I use mine almost every day at work listening to music, podcasts, etc in the office. Heck, I prob still have my OG Bluez from Kickstarter in a drawer or tote. When I was still running and going to the gym, the Titanium was awesome and then I got a pair of the Optishokz on Indiegogo that made a big difference for running but were obviously a niche product so they aren't used much anymore unlike the Titanium. I haven't felt the need to upgrade this whole time and honestly hadn't looked at any new products since the Optishokz and didn't even know they changed their name. I'm sure it's blissful ignorance at this point since mine are still working well but can anyone speak to the music quality difference from the Titanium to the current generation of Shokz? $130 is a lot to pay for headphones and not get a huge jump in audio quality. The difference from the Bluez to the Titanium was awesome so I'm curious if that trend continues here.
The openrun and higher models are a huge step up compared to the Titanium. I still own my Titanium too. I only use them when I accidentally forget the Openrun. The openrun are $75 at Costco or Sam's. I'd get those if you want to spend less. I had the pro 2 but I returned them. For my usage (running and biking) sound quality is less important than being fully waterproof

What do you turn on multipoint? Do you need their app to turn on that feature? Or do you hold the buttons in some kind of pattern?
I don't use the app, I don't know about that. This is how I do it.

Good deal, thanks. I don't care about waterproof. Whatever rating the Titanium is has been perfectly fine for my use so sounds like Openrun would be a fine way to go.

I've had a few pairs of these. I did like them, unfortunately they all die within a few months. I got a few returns, but finally gave up on this brand. Too expensive for a few months of use on 3 pairs.

I have a pair of Open Run Pro 1s

I really like them, but they're not durable. I have had to get warranty replacements twice in two years

The customer service team is awesome though

I would buy another pair despite the fragile nature
yep same here...i went through 3 pairs on warranty before i gave up on them

Of the Pros specifically? That's disappointing, I still have Aftershokz (before they rebranded, so 2021 at least) Aeropex that are going strong. And several people that bought Trekz Titaniums after trying mine are still in use as well. Obviously the battery life isn't great after all these years, but that's the only issue I'm aware of.

Not sure if Shokz will honor the warranty since it's being purchased from Woot. I bought some brand new in box from eBay and they didn't honor it (after about 22 months, they started buzzing in one ear and eventually it fell off and broke a wire), but I understand Woot is a little more substantive than a eBay seller.
