that is, any side FOR one dollar.
NOTE: King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe Sandwich DOES work as the granter item.
Offer #2 will run 2/17 - 2/23/2025. then Offer #3 will depend on claiming Offer #2, and run 2/24 - 3/2/2025.
regular prices of the most expensive items eligible for discount to $1, at local restaurant:
1) 5-piece Chicken Tenders = $7.85 (this and 3-piece are on the "Chicken" menu. i think that Tenders are lumped in with this "Sides" deal due to Chicken
nuggets spanning the "Sides" and "Chicken" menus.)
2) Premium 9PC Chicken Nuggets = $6.05 (on the "Chicken" menu; 4- and 6- piece are on "Sides".)
3a) 6-piece Mozzarella Sticks = $5.75
3b) 8-piece Jalapeno Bites = $5.75
and the cheapest eligible granter items, locally:
1) Classic Roast Beef = $4.95
2a) King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe Sandwich = $5.65
2b) Classic Beef 'N Cheddar = $5.65
3a) Greek Gyro = $5.75
3b) Roast Beef Gyro = $5.75
sliders and small wraps are understandably excluded. 2 of their hamburgers work, but BBQ Bacon Burger bafflingly does not.
with the above examples, your
total discount off of a 2-item order ranges from
41.3% to 53.5%.

One has to buy a sandwich to get a $1 side item (maybe if one could cover the difference of the price of the side from the now new price of $1. I do this a lot with Wendy's topped fries).
Ex. Suppose a side was $4.99 and it is now $1. That would mean if one could find a sandwich for $3.99, they could pay a total of $4.99 for everything.

the 9-piece nuggets have 1 corresponding sandwich that can accomplish what your post describes. the 5-piece tenders have 4 such sandwiches.
Edit: I wanted the best caloric value for the price, so I instead decided on the Greek gyro and the 5 piece tenders. I am getting both for $7.19

i'm saying this in part because you were inexplicably considering pairing a 3-piece chicken tenders with the roast beef versus the ENTIRELY SUPERIOR 5-piece.
this is why my math in the 1st post said that you can save as much as 53.1% on an overall order, despite having to pay $1 for the reduced item.
Edit: I just went with side and then sandwich. I wanted to get the most caloric item, 5 piece and then the most caloric sandwich, which, when added to the $1, would get me to the price of the 5 piece or slightly less. This is why I ended up getting the King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe. I ended up getting two items for $6.49, below the cost of the 5 piece, which is $7.99 in my area.
McDonald's is also running a buy any size fry with purchase of a drink and so I am going to make it a fish and chips meal for $1.39 more.
