I got a refurbished Aegis RS a few months ago. It was new. Obviously YMMV, but they may be straight-up returns (bought it, changed mind) or opened and basically put back in the box. Rare that these have any dust in them whatsoever, and mine still had foam fitted packing inside the case that I had to take out. If you need a 4070 Super card right like right now, this is one way to do it... because nothing is in stock.
I don't like how SlickDeals lead page makes it seem like the 4080 edition is $1200. Not the case fellas.
Blame the mods for that. The original post I made had the price $1699.99 as you can see in the title. The 4080 deal expired so the glorious mods changed the discounted price but didn't bother to change the title or the price in it.
Does anyone know the difference between the AEGIS Z2 and the AEGIS Z? I cant find any info online explaining which is better. They both seem to have identical specs. I already bought the MSI AEGIS Z but wondering if I should cancel that and get the Z2 instead.

Slightly different case and different PSU. Z2 looks like 750 vs 650watt on the Z. There is a spec sheet on the linked page for each that you can compare.
It had all sorts of issues, I dropped $150 trying to repair it by replacing PSUs, RAM, etc, but it turned out to be a burnt out motherboard. Woot was gracious enough to accept my return as I kept having issues with it since I got it.
I eventually just went to Microcenter and bought one of their prebuilts - the PowerSpec line. Same price, better specs, cleaner PC (no spamware), best purchase I've made and I'm definitely only buying Microcenter from then on.

I feel more secure buying Alienware/Dell. Apparently HP Omen is good too. I am looking at the new Asus Rog G700 desktops at Best Buy (come with Nvidia 5000 series GPUs). With a warranty I think they should be good. The cheapest one ($1850) comes with a 5070, 2tb SSD and 32gb ram. The case is optimized for air flow and the rig also has liquid cooling.

I was able to get one of the best deal ever at Walmart last year Black Friday, AMD Ryzen and 7900 GRE for $999. I'm still looking for something that at least match that deal but there is nothing like that here.
I know I skipped that one cuz my main game (PUBG) is having issues with AMD cards, but i jumped on the 7700 with the 4070 for $999 and havent seen anything close.
The 4070S deals seem good, had i not snagged the one above i would jump on it.

Yeah that one was an awesome deal as well, I got AMD deal at walmart but one defective PSU and I had to return it, seems like we will need to wait a couple of months to get something like that.
