Agreed. For casual gamers a 120hz TV is a better value than an actual gaming monitor with more screen real estate and/or cheaper price.
That $500 LG B4 OLED from the recent FP deal makes a spectacular monitor, and would need to spend ~$1000 for a similar experience on the smaller 45 inch LG OLED monitor.

I haven't purchased, waiting to hear how to get the additional 10% -- delivery date isn't important, I'm patient. But I'm not biting unless I figure out that other 10% lol
