Not much I would take my grandkids out to see these days. Would be nice if we had some nice family entertainment without the swearing, blood, sex. There are still stories out there to be told. Angel Studios is another company coming out with good stuff, admittedly from a Christian perspective.
I save my war and bloody action films for the evenings...

Thanks OP!
I ended up watching that Christmas Pageant movie the last time they offered up free tickets. It was cute enough. Minimally preachy, and I was surprised they basically portrayed Mary and Joseph as brown.refugees lol.
This one doesn't seem like it'll go too hard with the preachiness either. At the very least it doesn't look like God's Not Dead 17. But I'll probably get the tix and just go into another screen instead lmao. At my theater they only checked tickets at the door and never again. Just have to make sure to go to a matinee for a smaller movie where's it's less likely the theater will be full.

So the studio releases a free ticket promotion on opening weekend and spreads the word on all social media. That creates an artificial inflation of the box office numbers and then they use these numbers to promote it as a "surprise hit" and really ramp up the "liberals hate this movie" angle.
The easily manipulated segment hear all this and try to get everyone they know to pay money to go watch the movie, because the movie being successful equals "liberal tears". The movie then actually makes a profit, which isn't very difficult to do since the budget is miniscule to begin with.
The studios keep pumping out these low effort, low budget movies because they know they have an audience of easily manipulated people who will go watch them no matter how bad the movie is because it spreads the right "message".
And the rest of us don't really care because we understand that the studios are basically stealing money and time from very gullible people.
