My first one died within a year. They're customer service was terrible.
I got this and had zero plastic smell at all.

Not all air fryers have that smell. Been going strong for 6 months and I like that it has the window, light, and gets to 450 degrees while most air fryers top out at 400.
Good practice to run things like this outside for a while on the highest settings a few times to offgas. Think of how long it takes that "new car smell" to totally disappear. Everything has residual from manufacturing unless it's high-end medical or aerospace equipment.

I wanted to check in because I couldn't believe my eyes... 450F?!?!

I really want this now, but I already purchased another (PowerXL) that was topped out at 430F! I thought 430F was the best deal I could get in this price range too... Dang...

For what it's worth to everyone, anything 400F and below is MEH IMO. it takes too long to air fry anything. I think the GENUINE trick, is to use super high heat, so the outside gets crispy, and the risidual heat makes its way to the center to heat up the food.

I bought this around last Thanksgiving day and used few times a month(2-3). The basket's non stick coating has started falling off since last year and I've been thinking to throw this out.... ridiculous...

We've had a couple Gourmia's purchased from Costco start to go bad within a year, the fan motor started vibrating. Costco has always taken them back without question. I wouldn't buy one of these outside of Costco--but with the Costco protection, it's a good deal

My friend grabbed one for me in store a couple months ago. I love it, it's way more efficient than my old air fryer.
(sorry, replied too deep into the thread)

You can go to sameday.costco.com, enter your address to shop your local warehouse, and search for the item number (6232432) to check stock in warehouse. Ignore the price, it's marked up for local delivery. You can also use the Warehouse section of their mobile app to search inventory and check price at your local warehouse.

Does this one stink like plastic? Had a Gournia before no problem with the smell, got the Walmart one last week and it stinks to high heaven.
Oh it def did but I saw someone online said to cut some onions in half and toast them in there, outside for awhile and that's what I did. Wasn't bad after that.

Probably the thermal fuse - I have an almost 10 year old one which I've replaced the thermal fuse twice now. It's a <$1 repair.

Good to know, thanks. Hard to repair though timewise? I still feel they should have provided better support though even if the part is $1.

I have a big cuisineart and it just doesn't air fry that well…. So I got a little Gourmis for the girlfriend and it works great….so since it's just me and the gf taking turns at each other's house I got one for me that didn't work that well so I returned it and got one closer to the one the I got the gf and it works great…..

I did put a silicone insert, tray thingy in both to prevent eating any PFOA but I wonder when they will be unsafe or toxic…..

All of the gourmia air fryers I checked out only went to 400f…… so I'm a little bit skeptical that this one has a 450f setting but I could totally be wrong I am no gourmia expert….

I bought the 7QT from the Walmart deal. It has glass layer inside the plastic windows so it is not like some people mentioned the high temperature will melt the plastic. However, they shipped me a refurbished one, which make me suspect their honesty. If they are liars, that they claim their coating is not Teflon can be false.

The 4 silicone feet at 450 degrees will end up in your food. Does this one have those?

You can grab it for $40 in store. I did, but I don't like the double glass/plastic. Moisture does get trapped in between. Also, the inner tray has 4 rubber tabs on each corner that make it annoying to remove when cleaning. I might return it.
