This is LGs gen 3 of this panel, so yes, for $511 new, it's a good price. The cheapest was $599 recently, or $550+~ open box excellent from bestbuy

I have the older gr version & this panel is brighter + white is actual white + a few other improvements I can't recall atm

4k at 27" is very sharp & and clearer, but 1440p for a 27 is better for gaming fps wise & ok for average use case. 4k is better for 32" and up imo. went from a 27" 4k ips to a 32" 4k oled back to 27" oled.

If reading/office work go for 4k, it will cost more typically. or if you like more clarity and or have a higher end GPU to support newer games

Meh, I just went from 1440p 32" IPS to 4k OLED 240hz.. Lol clarity ain't that much better. Unless I'm like 10" away from the screen then yea ok text is a clearer I can tell. But who's 10" away from their screen lol

But I'm no expert
We have one qhd 32" and one 4k 32" side by side on our desk. Each day, my wife and I have to compete who can use the 4k one.

But I agree with u, no need 4k at all if u can't see the differences. Just like $20 vs $1000 speakers, why waste the money if can't hear the differences?

Any experts please suggest
I have the 32 inch model of this and i love it!

Things to consider:
Matte screen - For me it's a pro because if you have the light on a lot, it's a lot less glare and I have the LGC1 and glossy OLED just isn't for me.

Brightness: It's a bit less brighter than you'd expect but if you tweak some settings you can get it 'bright enough' i will say if you need really bright screens i would opt out on this.

Design: I didn't opt for this screen size due to that weird bezel on the bottom, just something that would bother me if it's the screen i had to use all the time, and that's why I got the 32 inch model. However that's just being nit picky.

GPU Reliant: I'm running a 4070 TI Super with it and I haven't had any problems at all with it running games. With that said i'm sure if you had 4060 or more lower tier GPUs it definitely would be an overkill for a monitor.

If yall have any questions, fire away!

How bad are these for work? I've heard if you do much work on them it's not worth it, OLED is strictly gaming.

these particular models have improved on their text resolution compared to other OLEDS. I had the 48 inch LGC1 and i remember how much of a headache it gives you working with texts. I use my 32 inch model of this OLED with a mix of work and gaming and it will not give you any problem. However I can't ever recommend an OLED panel if it's only for work.

"less" is a broad way of describing the glare.

The glare is sharper on glossy screens while if that same light is shining on a matte screen, it'll be a bigger blotch.

Any who, there's a bunch of videos on YT comparing the two.

I've been on an IPS matte monitor for ages and wanted to try a gloss monitor since my phone, tablet, and laptop were all gloss.. Pretty much knew what I was getting into.

I'll make it simpler then for all can understand:

Glossy: Mirror like reflections (super crystal clear reflections like you're looking into a dark mirror. Not good at all if you have the monitor in a room full of light and have a lot of items in the background of where you are sitting as it will reflect back in the screen. Great in dark environments.

Matte: Reflections are 'smoothed' out. (the reflection is like seeing picture blur in cameras when it's focused in the foreground you see the blurriness in the background. You can tell something is reflecting off the matte screen but really can't make the shape of what.)
BETTER for light environments. In dark environments you can't tell it's a matte screen.

All in all, both are great types of display coatings. It just depends on the user.

And just to make it more complicated, if the environment you're in is too well lit then the deep blacks on a matte screen doesn't become too deep anymore but rather start to look a bit milky lol.

So yea, dark room no one would be able to tell if it's glossy or matte. Nothing wrong with matte, been using it on my IPS monitor for ages.

Yeah no, 2k is still really good for games unless you have 4090 or stronger. I have a 4080 and I get about 150 FPS in story mode games in 2k, in 4k it would be too little FPS for me, probably around 80-90. 2k 27" is still really good because of high pixel density.
3070 gets 30 fps in Stalker 2 at 1440p Epic. Only 65 fps at medium.

VRAM is one of the biggests characters that is holding you back there! There are plenty of piece to the puzzle that are going to make/break your experience, but 8GB of VRAM is certainly a large-r piece of that gaming experience puzzle for you at any resolution higher than 1080p

Yeah so what happens on my 3070 in Stalker 2 is it's fine in Epic until you go to a town with lots of NPCs, then it drops to a slideshow and you have to switch to medium. The CPU is a 5600X so I think it's the VRAM. I tried NVidia's game ready settings but same story in towns.

I've been running this model for just over a year now, my primary use case is gaming (Ryzen 5800X3D w/ RX 7900 XT).
It replaced my Acer Predator 27" XB271HU IPS display and the immediate difference to me was the stunning color vibrance, contrast, and perfect blacks over the Predator IPS display. Also nice to have a 240Hz refresh rate over 144Hz from the Predator, but I'm not really pushing a 200+ framerate to take advantage of that (at least in NEWER games) without AMD Fluid Motion Frames or FSR3 frame generation tech. My concerns with OLED burn-in/image retention are largely gone. This display has a number of pixel cleaning/shifting/etc. features to mitigate burn-in, and as far as I can tell they're working as designed.

It comes with some significant cons though:
- First, the VRR flicker is extremely annoying. If you use VRR and don't have a stable frame rate, the flickering is quite noticeable and is distracting.
- Second, the text clarity is mediocre. This display uses an uncommon RWBG sub pixel layout, which results in color bleeding on the edges of text (i.e. "fringing). At this point IDK if I've gotten used to it, or if my Clear Type config resolved this issue for me. Either way, not really a big deal to me.
- Third is the annoying "power saving" feature that I can't disable despite going over the OSD menu several times. Basically the display will want to shut down when it detects that it's "not in use" to conserve energy, but it keeps prompting to do this while I'm in the middle of a game. So I get this on-screen warning that it will shut down in 5 minutes, then again in 1 minute, unless I press a button on the included remote. Frustrating. Seems like a bug, maybe there's a firmware patch for it. Will have to check on that later.
So do the benefits outweigh its cons? For me it does because I came from an older IPS display that lacked HDR, Freesync, and was only 144Hz. If you're coming from a more premium IPS display (e.g. 165+ Hz, Free/Gsync, HDR600 or higher), then skip this display. You'll probably want something with FEWER compromises, quirks, and more polish than this.
