During LSA registration, you can select Direct Tools where the product was purchased. But final registration appears to require mailing in the receipt.

Also, remember it's not a "lifetime warranty" from rigid. It's a "lifetime service agreement." I have several rigid tools and I've never had any problems with them. But I've read a number of stories of people's warranty claims being rejected for simple things, like you didn't mail your receipt in, you didn't register within 30 days of purchase, or user abuse. I've also read a number of stories of people that have had absolutely no problems. My opinion of rigid's warranty is, hope for the best, expect the worst.

It's 110% required that you purchase in new condition from Home Depot with a proper receipt to register for LSA.
This is a great discount for the tool itself but should be avoided if you're factoring LSA into the price or relying on it for your livelihood.

I have never seen it happen. I think that is why they call these "blemished" so HD will not have to match among other reasons.
You can still get the lifetime warranty on these so still protected.

$162 with tax and shipping for me.
No wonder people are misguided about LSA, seems most people can't be bothered to read basic terms.

I was about the try and sell the non-Megamax one, but the weekend I was going to list it, I needed it. I was trying to dig out some landscaping timbers from some really hard ground and needed a small jackhammer. It broke up the ground around the timbers and I got it done.
This is a great tool if you will be working with concrete, or needing to drill holes in concrete. It would be a fantastic choice for rock climbers who want to route set sport climbs. Be sure to use a big battery pack of at least Octane level, if not the newest. The smaller or older battery packs will fault out rather easily.
