Cheapest, may not be the best. These are unregulated manufacturers and they can use any materials in this process. Cheap aluminum coatings, cheap plastics.

I have the black 40oz and It's my new go to. I'd buy the 64Oz despite your hangups about it. If I were to nitpick it, I'd say sometimes the straws lips down into the drink

Are you implying that this particular bottle isn't good or are you just generally making a point?

Also, how should one know on which company to trust or not in terms of whether they are using the cheapest or best?

I have this exact bottle that I bought for $20 just a week or two ago. I would say the quality (feeling wise) is quite decent. It does say BPA free and other fancy stuff, but in reality, it is a Chinese product. So I won't be able to say much on actual quality of the product.

I mean most (if not all) of these types of bottles/tumblers are made in China…

1000s of years from now, people will dig for fossils and find various hydration canisters with our remains. History books will have an entire chapter dedicated to just Stanley cups.

You can't. "Made in USA" doesn't mean it's any better. No third party is thoroughly testing / analyzing / certifying these.

And besides, most of the expensive brands are just chinese products with western branding on them.

Got mold from the 24 oz version after not cleaning the spout for only 3 days.

Going back to a stanley tumbler with stray that doesn't generate mold
