James Hoffman has a good review of this. I'm no coffee snob, but I found his review helpful and interesting. I will be skipping this. Check it out again once gen 2 comes out.

I'm wondering how this machine will hold up in the long term. Can any owner chime in ?
It's Costco. So I am assuming you can return it anytime if it malfunctions.
The other day I saw a couch in bad condition, probably used by three generations of the family and their neighbors , being returned. So a return due to a genuine complaint is very much possible.

he thinks the espresso is not bad (doesn't completely agree with the machines recommended settings, went 1 grind size down), but the drip coffee it produces is terrible. Questions some of the machines design choices, but likes the tech at the price point. So, if you are looking to make espresso drinks with ease then the machine is decent for those that don't want to spend a lot or are not too much into the coffee making process.
No more than other similar machine in this price range - in fact the review was more positive than I expected. You can get much better and cheaper results from a Bambino and quality hand grinder, but these machines are for convenience - the target audience likely doesn't care whether the shots they're pulling are amazing, or just pretty good. Seems like a compelling option for people that were already looking at the Breville.
I take Brevile in a heartbeat ! you do not buy an espresso machine for the look ! especially at $500... made in chaina , since when chaina knows how to drink coffee and know what an espresso is ??? imitation does not work in the kitchen.

I got a bambino plus last year. My findings were that if you love espressos and like to play with the settings of the grinder and the extraction times and ratio then something like that is better. If you want good coffee without complications then the ninja is good too

Thank you, but isn't Breville also made in China? ..

This looks nice...but I doubt it competes with most name brand super automatics. I would recommend looking into the refurbuished Gaggia Prestige from Wholelattelove for less money.
