Regular price of $100 at Sam's Club everyday. Not a bad discount, if you need something now.
Some people just like to bash Harbor Freight. They literally sell half a dozen different sets at HF from the $1.99 made in India garbage all the way up to the professional tool truck grades and everything in between. Pittsburgh pro is as good as any of the other box store brands, and made in the same factories. The Quinn and Icon brands they sell are even better. And the Channellock set in this deal isn't even made by Channellock, it's just rebranded from whoever bid on the promo contract.

Looks like this set is a good deal for ~$90 but also not a high quality set. A step above kobalt seems to be the verdict.

I'll keep my craftsman mechanic gunmetal set for now. No complaints for that and I think I paid about this much for it (even though less pieces, however toss set seems to inflate that number with screwdriver bits…mine has the same 3 size wrenches and probably all the sockets. Only thing it doesn't have is the ratcheting wrench which would be nice but idc enough to pay $100 for something that might not work as well after the first use)

I bought this as a quick pick up and head to the junk yard kind of set. Quality is good enough

Not a bad deal especially for ratcheting wrenches, but for a more all in one portable set, I like the Cresent CTK180. It's $95 and comes with pliers.

I bought this set a few years ago at Sam's club for less. Not the greatest but it does the trick

Have a feeling I'll regret just like the harbor freight set. Never again with cheap tools

Why, the sockets are not that bad, I guess?

I been sticking to the made in Taiwan Tekton tools. Them tools are reasonable priced & returns are ez peasy. Just fill out the online form & take pic of the defect & they ship out replacement part next day. You can throw your defect part in the trash when your new part arrives in mail.

Harbor freight has been doing their homework and their business model shows it. Regular deep discounts and hassle free warranty, along with plenty of new high end tool offerings at good prices. Having a local store is a big plus. I'm sure they're putting a big dent in the premium tool truck sales numbers. I can remember several times I've approached a tool truck owner for a warranty and got a little attitude because I wasn't spending money on that visit. I won't buy from those guys again; they can keep their wildly overpriced tools.

I bought some small 1/4" drive Crescent socket/driver sets several years ago to give out as holiday gratuities to my customers, and wound up having an extra set that I keep in my primary vehicle. This set is way better than expected, super nice ratchet and the overall quality is A+. I also have a CTK230 Crescent set in my old F250 and they're top quality as well. Crescent is definitely a preferred brand for me these days...not cheap, but worth a look when discounted.

Not enough bits & too many sockets for the price, for me.
Also I only use regular ratcheting wrenches. I never get the innovative ratcheting wrench variety.

Did you write that off? business…but gifts…unsure where that lands. Assuming that's a no no technically. Anyway I'm just curious
