I used to like going to Arby's regularly, at least every two weeks or so and they'd always email me decent discounts.

6 months ago every Arby's within 30 miles closed overnight. They must not be doing well hence all the discounts.

Life cycle of a brand. Chain not doing well bringing in customers at regular price --> chain offers discounts ---> chain ends up going bankrupt because customers only buy from them using discounts.

And we, as Slickdealeans...lol..are not doing them any favors if we are just finding the best way to utilize their discounts without buying anything at regular price. I have a feeling Arby's is going to go bankrupt. Ah well.

For instance, if I am doing this deal, 25% off, I am getting the cheapest item and doing 25% off. I am not buying anything else from them.

Probably because they jacked up their prices to ridiculous heights. My typical order was $14. When it jumped to over $20, I stopped going.

This!

Last year around this time I moved and was within a 2 minute drive of an Arby's. One night I went to go get dinner for my wife and I. I was absolutely floored when two sandwich meals plus mozzarella sticks was over $40. For fast food that's half-arse prepared!

That was the last time I went to Arby's.

Before paying, did you not look up items and prices?
  1. Even if you did not want to look cheap for your wife, to save some money; you could have bought cheaper items for yourself and kept hers as is.
  2. Small side, slider, and small drink would have cut that price by 25%.
  3. Also, you could have shared the sandwich and side and bought two small drinks.
  4. Not to mention, you could have used an offer off the app.

I ended up getting a small Fanta for $1.79 after this offer was applied (best caloric value for the price). I used it to complete a meal where I used a BOGO baked spaghetti from Fazoli's.

All right Arby's, come at me with the next deal!

During times of inflation, companies and corporations jack up their prices (and shrink portion sizes), to increase their profits and hide behind the veneer of inflation -- whether it affects them or not.

Some companies do this, and find out that the market soundly rejects them; and then they are shocked as their company starts falling like the Hindenburg.

Yes, I realize I could have made the meal much less expensive, but that wasn't the point of my post, which is that Arby's on the average is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food.

That makes no sense because you are on a deals site. The prerequisite for being on this site is trying to get overpriced food cheaper. Why do people think complaining about it is going to make it better?

The deals at Arby's are and were always better with the paper coupons, and that's been true for decades at Arbys. The only app coupon I've ever used is the 5 for $5 they run once a year.

I had the reverse be true. Arby's, on their coupons, you would always have to buy "x" amount for "y" $ (Ex. 2 for $6). In the app, I found more BOGO deals, which were overall cheaper than those type of coupon deals. Also, in the app, you can find more free item with any purchase (which means you can take advantage of buying cheaper items, by value, to the one given for free). The app seems to have the better deals.

The 5 for $5 deal you had mentioned, I had taken advantage of that both online and using a coupon.

At this rate, deal #3 will be 10% off a regularly priced order.

If it is, I am not continuing this chain of deals. I did not mind getting an already cheap item discounted; however, if they do not pull a free item with any purchase or BOGO, I AM OUT!

My deals right now -- and I know this is only right now...

-Free Slider with purchase.
-$5 off $20

My paper coupons...(see attachment). Certainly lacking compared to the past. But also am speaking from decades of Arby's experience, like back when kids meals came with a full bag of Reese's pieces, you got a Little Mr. Little Miss figurine, and there was no such thing as Curly Fries Stick Out Tongue

Lately my Arby's does $4 for $10 on regular Roast Beefs -- which is better than coupon deals have been.
I'm a purist at Arby's anyway -- regular roast beef FTW, so that works for me.
