No. Just pop in an SD card. Had mine for like 6 months and it works fine without cloud subscription

If you contact their customer support and ask for the firmware that enables RTSP, they will email it to you.

I have several of these that I got whenever they have on sale. 128gb card is more than sufficient unless you want continuous recording. Typically, I just use motion detect and they would only record when there are activities. With this, you can have recordings for many months depending on the traffic of the recordings. This comes with socket and bulb adapter so you can plug on outlet if you don't have a bulb socket.

Be aware, if you have a newer router that does the "combined 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz" network, this won't work for you. I've been working with the seller on and off for over a month. They offered a refund, but have yet to make good on it. Buyer beware, I guess.

Did you try to turn off the 5 GHz on your router connect the camera then turn it back on?

This camera has thumbnail notifications now. I think that alone makes it worth it.

I purchased 5 of them (mix of laview and symelytec) about 2 years ago. 3 indoor 2 outdoor.

They started to break down after 2/3 months and all of them with in 6. Customer service did replace most if not all (can't remember)

The second batch all shut down.

They are easy to set up. Quality is good at day. So so at night.
Durability might have gotten better, but my experience they suck

Switched over to eufy. Going strong so far

I'm working with customer service to replace. They replaced once, it stopped working(within 4 months)

The replacement stopped working as well, within 2 weeks or so.

Also, motion detection would work after few moments, so mostly won't capture crucial activity.
Good concept, not so good reliability.

Why go to that trouble when they can just shine a really bright flashlight at it and blind it temporarily?

I ordered 2 of these, one white and one black, a month or 2 ago last they were on sale. The instructions specifically tell you the socket adapter is only meant for wifi pairing (likely because it'll turn into a fire hazard over time - it's not hard to tell it's a cheap piece of plastic). I also noticed that only one of the units came with the bulb adapter despite both being sealed, so YMMV on that as well.

The coupon seems to work on 4k version too. It's about $30 after code. Not sure 128gb card will be enough for 4k local recordings
4k version? I see a 4g version but no 4k

Bought one a couple of months ago and decided to buy another one, but deal seems to be dead for me. Is the deal dead?
