The i7-12700kf alone never dips below $166 in very short-lived sales, and typically goes on sale above $175. This bundle also comes with a solid lower-midrange atx z790 motherboard (worth at least $110, assuming massive price reduction due to last gen platform), and 32gb of ddr4 3200 CL16 (worth at least $35). It also comes with Assassin's Creed Shadows and UBISOFT+ Classics 6 Month Subscription.
The i7-12700k(f) is generally the best value midrange intel cpu available. For the record, as a 12th gen part the 12700kf is not affected by the intel stability issues. It's also far less power hungry than the i9-12900k and later gen i7's, it can be air cooled effectively (though a fairly beefy cooler is still recommended) and generally won't strain even middling motherboard vrms under standard use. The 12700kf does not come with a cooler. It has 8 p-cores and 4 e-cores, with a base frequency of 3.6 GHz and a turbo max of 5.0 GHz. The 12700kf has decent all around lower-midrange (more towards midrange than lower) single threaded/gaming performance and solidly midrange multithreaded performance. Unless you've got a gpu with at minimum ~rtx 4070ti performance, or your use cases involve extremely heavily multithreaded cpu dependent productivity workloads, this cpu should be more than sufficient for anyone looking at components in this price range. Performance suffers somewhat with ddr4 ram, but that's the primary reason this bundle is so cheap. The 12700kf lacks an igpu, so you need a discrete gpu for display output, and it doesn't support intel quicksync (hardware accelerated video encoding/transcoding).

The GIGABYTE Z790 S WIFI DDR4 is a lower-midrange full size atx z790 chipset ddr4 board. The newegg listing says it has "Wi-Fi 802.11ax", which means this should be revision 1.1 or 1.2 (as opposed to rev. 1.0, which was limited to "Wi-Fi 802.11ac"). As a z790 board overclocking is supported, though I'd generally recommend against overclocking intel 12-14th gen cpus. It has an 8(60a)+1+1 vrm, which should be able to handle the 12700k without issue. It has three pcie gen 4 m.2 slots (and only 4 sata ports), wifi 6e and 2.5g lan, an acceptable array of usb ports, and has "q-flash plus" (bios flashback). Additional io is fairly limited (besides the gen4 x16 slot there are only 2 gen3 x1 slots, and the unspecified "Realtek Audio CODEC" is likely something budget like the alc897. This motherboard only supports ddr4, ddr5 is physically incompatible with the slots on this board.

The included CORSAIR Vengeance LPX ram is 32gb (2x16gb) DDR4 3200 16-20-20-38. While the speeds and timings are nothing to write home about, it's seemingly competent lower-midrange ddr4 ram, and it's highly unusual to get 32gb of ram in bundles of this price (most come with 16gb). Ddr4 ram will hold the 12700kf back somewhat compared to ddr5, but building a similar system using ddr5 instead (even with bundles, the most heavily discounted bundles are always ddr4) is far more expensive.
The intel holiday bundle is an additional bonus of a free game and ubisoft+ subscription; though from the reviews I've read there seems to be a lot of jumping through hoops to actually redeem. Still, if you'd be purchasing Assassin's Creed Shadows anyways, it's a nice extra.
Overall, if you live near a microcenter and don't do anything more cpu intensive than gaming, I'd generally recommend one of their amd am5 bundles instead. Otherwise, this 12700kf bundle provides solid performance at a budget price. Compared to the current frontpage $280 microcenter 12700k bundle, this newegg bundle has the 12700kf (no igpu) and a moderately worse motherboard (the microcenter board is still ddr4); but comes with twice as much ddr4 ram (32gb instead of 16gb) and costs $18 less.
