Can't find what exact ram comes with the kit and the timings. For just 80 bucks more you can piece this together yourself with an x870 and cas 30 ram.

Agreed, for a little more money you can control the quality of the motherboard and the RAM. Not too many reviews of the motherboard aside from MSI shill reviews and no exact ram info. Still a good deal, and for people that don't care, the system should run just fine.

I dislike that everything here comes preinstalled. If you have an issue with a single component, I'd bet that it's a PITA to get a warranty since its being sold by ABS (whoever that is).

should probably be more concerned with first word latency rather than cas on ddr5, but since its a bundle they'll likely throw in whatever kit they have too much stock of that isn't selling well relative to whatevers at the warehouse they're shipping from to you.

sorting by best selling teamgroup ram that fits the specs on newegg, the bottom two are both cas38, one total user review between the both of them. first word latency is 12.67ns, generally at most you want 10 or under, with 8ns being best case first word latency possible on most ram.

For a 9800x3d processor CAS 30 or 32 is best paired with it. I've personally never looked at latency timing.

Squinting at the product image, the RAM part number looks like:

FF3D516G6000HC38ABK
16GB DDR5 6000 (1Rx8)
CL38-38-38-78 1.35V

All other images I've found of this part number are labeled 1.25V.

Not a must-buy imo

MSI Pro B850-P is $190
CPU is $480
Basically this combo saves you $60 on RAM.

Huh, this is like what my next build will look like but I guess I will bear with my AM4 build for a few more years.

Just past weekend I upgrade my CPU + mobo + RAM as follows:

MSI X870 Tomahawk Wifi = $279.99 - $50 Steam Wallet - $40 Rebate = ~$189.99
Ryzen 9800X3d = ~$480
TeamGroup TForce Delta 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000 CL30 = ~$80

The setup is super stable, OCs really well, and the performance is nothing short of AMAZING!
BTW, the RAM kit in this bundle looks just like mine...very good RAM kit IMHO

ABS made the first PC I ever purchased back in 1997.
