I recommend their internet service. Me and my girlfriend have it and it's not only faster than what we had from Spectrum with better reliability and surprisingly about the same latency. It's perfectly fine for gaming and we're usually streaming on multiple devices and gaming at the same time.

Terms and conditions state "Activate qualifying new Home Internet line between 11/21/24 and 1/15/25".

FWIW I submitted for the December promo and I'm still waiting. 6-8 weeks is what they say. Pretty happy with the service though, I use a Keep Connect and reset every 2 days and have had almost no issues.

Actually that is NOT even close to real life Just now: Cell phone 5G speed 33Mbps vs 640Mbps TMHI router (located 7 ft from each other).
It is true under the same conditions, or it's supposed to be. Both the home Internet and the phone would need to be on the same priority on their plans. Also, the Internet device may have a better signal/better reception, better cell modem, may be locked on different bands, and carrier aggregation might be different (didn't look into what stock modems support).
Just because they're close together doesn't mean they're locked on the same thing. And if there are multiple towers, might not even be locked on the same one.
Reading rural Internet forums for years, and my own experience with most people I know using cell Internet, this is usually accurate.

you are just confirming what I said.
"a phone will be different than HI"
(better /andor worse in my case and many others)

All Phones here are like that.
Been like that since 2022.
Advance level tech support...confirmed this.
I was in a NO HI area for over a year even though had been getting HI.

for me it asked SSN and then gave this - "Looks like we'll need more information.
To continue, please call or visit a T-Mobile store and one of our team members will assist you in completing your home internet purchase."

anyone else faced this ?

What's the speed? How does it compare to Verizon Fios and xfinity Giga plans?

Your area is an outlier then, that is not the case in most places. If on the same tower, same bands, same priority, similar signal, barring relative differences in hardware, speeds should be closer/similar. Identical because of general differences, no, of course.
At least according to my area, discussion on forums for years, etc.
*I've been using cellular Internet for 13 years, and have been a member of a few rural Internet forums for over a couple decades, seen a few things.

when it gets a great signal, the service has great speeds. in my case, there is only 1 tower in the area, which is less than 1 mile line of site and after a few months it would drop me from N41 around 300/100mbps to n71 around 10/10mbps. Had to reboot the gateway for it to lock onto n41 again. The signal strengths were all good. Contacted tmobile for an upgrade from the Arcadyan KVD21 to the Arcadyan TMOG4AR, but they were not offering the option at the time.
also ping rates were a bit slower than cable. keep in mind that you will not get a real public IP address, so you may have trouble remoting in.

This internet was no good for me. Household of four. Bad for gaming (even at night when no one in the household was using the internet). Ring doorbell cameras took forever to load and video quality was horrible.

Probably for the cheap Rely plan. The $300GC is no longer available for Rely

As low as $35/mo. with any voice postpaid line. This is not listed correctly.

Consider yourself lucky! I tried T-Mobile Home Internet mid-2024 and it was horrible. They signed me up as a customer even though the two cell towers near me were oversold (too crowded). They didn't have enough capacity to offer me reliable service, but signed me up anyway. I experienced 5-minute outages multiple times a week for about 3 months. Called Customer Service regularly the first two weeks, they tried to help but told me (honestly) that the towers were too crowded, there were capacity issues and one of the towers was undergoing maintenance as well (so even less capacity). I got 1 month of free service and another 1/2 month service credit for all the hassle. I stayed as long as I could to get my $300 cash rebate, then went back to Comcast/Xfinity for a 2-yr contract ($35/month for 300mbps speed). When the service did work, it was OK. Not as consistent or reliable as Comcast cable modem internet. Also T-Mobile doesn't give you a static IP (Comcast does, in my area; though the static IP can and does change periodically). For anyone who signs up for T-Mobile Home Internet (TMHI), I recommend keeping your existing internet service for several weeks before you cancel it to make sure TMHI works well for you. That way if there are issues you can cancel TMHI and send the equipment back.
I think you meant public IP instead of static IP

I just got my $300 virtual card after 60 days. I use it to pay my Tmobile bill. Sweet.
